Bitcoin sharks made their biggest move in 13 years

They are called "sharks" the entities (can be individuals or organizations) that hold between 100 and 1,000 bitcoins.

In the last month, sharks bought approximately 270,000 bitcoins (BTC).

There are signs of renewed optimism about the medium-term price of bitcoin.

Investors who hold between 100 and 1,000 units of bitcoin (BTC), more commonly known as "sharks," sharply accelerated their purchases. They made their largest move in over a decade, according to Glassnode data.

In the past 30 days, these large holders have purchased approximately 270,000 BTC, worth around $23 billion USD. This represents the largest net acquisition by this group in 13 years.

To have an understanding of demand magnitude, it should be noted that this accumulation of sharks represents 1.3% of the total bitcoin supply. «Almost nobody talks about what that actually means», emphasized the analyst who identifies as «NoLimit».

«What matters is not just that they buy, but when they do so», the specialist stressed. This is because historically, this kind of shark accumulation appears during periods of uncertainty, not at peak prices. In other words, bitcoin could continue to rise.
