According to Foresight News, Succinct Labs, a startup specializing in ZK proofs, has announced the launch of its SP1 testnet. The SP1 testnet implements high-performance STARK recursion and EVM on-chain verification, supporting the rapid generation of end-to-end ZK proofs on any EVM-compatible chain.

In March 2024, Succinct Labs completed a new round of funding, raising $55 million. The funding round was led by Paradigm, with participation from Robot Ventures, Bankless Ventures, Geometry, ZK Validator, and Polygon co-founders Sandeep Nailwal and Daniel Lubarov, as well as EigenLayer founder Sreeram Kannan. The funds will likely be used to further develop and expand the capabilities of the SP1 testnet.

The SP1 testnet is a significant development in the blockchain technology space, offering high-performance STARK recursion and EVM on-chain verification. This allows for the quick generation of end-to-end ZK proofs on any EVM-compatible chain, potentially increasing efficiency and security in blockchain transactions.
