According to Foresight News, a project led by Oxford University alumni, GadlingX, which focuses on machine learning and reinforcement learning, has announced the launch of a high-performance Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) called GPU-EVM. The development team stated that the GPU-EVM can be used to train cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) agents based on reinforcement learning (RL) on top of it, utilizing the parallel execution of various Ethereum applications to help train AI agents to discover security errors.

The initial phase of the GPU-EVM launch focuses on creating hardware-scale EVM infrastructure to facilitate the training of AI and RL models. The next phase, expected within a year, will include providing API access for high-performance computing applications. The ultimate goal is to surpass human capabilities in protecting smart contracts and decentralized applications.
