Changpeng Zhao (CZ), founder and CEO of Binance, said at Binance Square that Binance has added a Bitcoin halving countdown to its homepage and shared its experience based on the past three halvings.
CZ said based on previous experience, first, there will be more and more chatter, news, anxiety, expectations, hype, hope, etc. in the months before the Bitcoin halving. Then, the day after the halving, the Bitcoin price will not double overnight. People will ask why it didn't. Then, a year after the halving, the Bitcoin price hit multiple ATHs, or historical highs. People will ask why. People have short memories.
CZ emphasized that the above experience is not a proven causal relationship, and history cannot predict the future.
