According to Cointelegraph, Nigeria has invited Nigerian scientists and world-renowned experts who have worked in the Nigerian market to jointly develop a national artificial intelligence (AI) strategy. Bosun Tijani, Nigeria's Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, said that the National Information Technology Development Agency has launched the formulation of a national AI strategy. The Nigerian government believes that AI has become a versatile technology that reshapes production and services and has great potential for social progress and economic expansion. According to PwC research, by 2030, artificial intelligence may contribute $15.7 trillion to the global economy, of which about $3 trillion will come from improved productivity and $9.1 trillion will come from new products and services.
