Win Rate is an indicator that reflects how often your trades end with a profit. It is measured as a percentage and shows the share of successful trades from their total number.
Winrate formula:
Winrate (%) = (Number of profitable trades / Total number of trades) × 100
Example:
You made 50 trades in a month. Of these:
30 trades turned out to be profitable.
20 trades ended in a loss.
Your win rate is calculated as follows:
(30 / 50) × 100 = 60%.
Why is the win rate important?
It helps to assess the effectiveness of your trading strategy, but by itself, it does not indicate profitability. For example:
High win rate (70–90%): Often achieved with small profit targets, but there is a risk of large losses in rare failures.
Low win rate (30–50%): Can be profitable if the size of wins significantly exceeds losses.
The connection between win rate and risk management:
To assess the strategy, it is important to consider another indicator — the risk/reward ratio. This is how much you earn on average on one trade compared to how much you lose.
Example of analysis:
If you have a win rate of 50% and a risk/reward ratio of 1:2 (you risk 1 dollar to earn 2), the strategy will be profitable.
With a win rate of 80%, but a risk/reward ratio of 2:1 (you risk 2 dollars to earn 1), you could end up at a loss.
How to improve the win rate?
1. Thoroughly analyze trades: Study mistakes, keep a journal.
2. Trade according to strategy: Act consistently, without emotions.
3. Improve entries: Open positions only when there are clear signals.
4. Assess risks: Do not enter trades with poor risk/reward ratios.
In the end, a good win rate is an important indicator, but for stable earnings, it must be balanced with proper capital management.
P.S. On Binance, the win rate is not displayed directly, as it is a calculated indicator that depends on your trading results. To calculate the win rate, you can:
1. Download trade history:
Go to the Wallet section → Transaction History or Trade Journal.
Download data on executed orders for a specific period.
2. Count profitable trades:
Review completed trades and mark which of them closed with a profit.
3. Calculate the win rate (formula above👆).

If you need to automate the counting, you can use third-party tools for analyzing trading statistics or built-in functions of the Binance API.
