SEC charges Avraham Eisenberg with stealing $116 million from Mango Markets

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has charged Avraham Eisenberg, known as Mango Avi, with masterminding the attack on Mango Markets and siphoning $116 million from the cryptocurrency trading platform. The SEC said Eisenberg manipulated the MNGO token. He also faces charges from the Justice Department and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The agency said in a statement Friday that investigations into other violations of securities laws and other entities and persons related to the alleged misconduct are ongoing. The SEC said in its complaint that Mango Markets has ceased operations.
