How I plan on accumulating, balancing, and profit-taking for life-changing gains
Emotions are the biggest enemy of profit. To come out of the tail end of this bull cycle with a life-changing portfolio, we must learn to master our emotions and have a clear plan of how to carefully accumulate solid projects:
Accumulation:
If you have been through a crypto cycle before, you will recognize this as the time when real money is made. One of my favorite finance quotes says it best:
“You make most of your money in a bear market; you just don’t realize it at the time.” —Sherry Cullom Davis
As this bear market trudges on — and make no mistake, we are still in a bear market — the real money is made researching and accumulating projects with solid fundamentals... large treasuries, on-trend protocols, sound aligned tokenomics, reputable teams, real yield, etc.
The key elements of this phase, and the ones I am actively implementing, are as follows:
-Small and diversified allocations to small and micro-cap projects
- Middle size and concentrated allocations to oversold blue chips and high conviction plays
-Large allocations to Ethereum, BNB, and Bitcoin, and one or two top layer 1’s or super high conviction plays.
- Don't marry your bags. If a project fails repeatedly or has a materially unfavorable change, cut the losses and move on.
- Ignore the FUD. There will be loads of FUD as the bear rages on and salty bears mourn missed gains, or competitors cry about losing market share, or Bitcoin Maxis lament the old “shitcoin” narrative.
- The toughest of all: keep stables on hand for incredible opportunities. If you are anything like me, this one is the toughest to maintain. Sometimes you need to pass on an opportunity; you cannot take them all.
- Position yourself on the right launchpads and private sale platforms. These are way under the radar at the moment, but as things heat up,
