Paradigm has invested $20 million in Ithaca, a Web3 startup spun off from the Web3-focused venture capital firm. Ithaca is developing Odyssey, a new layer-2 network described as the blockchain “from the future.” Built with Reth and the OP Stack, Odyssey is now live on testnet. Georgios Konstantopoulos, general partner and CTO of Paradigm, will serve as CEO of Ithaca, which will operate independently from Paradigm. Odyssey aims to accelerate crypto innovation by enabling more powerful smart contracts and reducing onboarding friction. This development is part of Paradigm’s broader strategy to enhance digital asset technology.
