Bitcoin (BTC) remains firmly above $62,000, though it remains 15.6% below its record high from seven months ago. Meanwhile, ethereum (ETH) is facing a more significant price surge, currently trading at $2,432—50.2% below its all-time high of $4,878.

87 Days to 2024, Bitcoin and BNB Lead While Altcoins Fall Behind

Bitcoin is getting closer to its all-time high, and it wouldn't be surprising to see it surpass its peak of $73,737 per unit soon. Currently, BTC is trading at $62,202 per coin as of 10:30 a.m. ET on Sunday.

Meanwhile, ethereum (ETH), the second-largest cryptocurrency, still has a long way to go, currently at $2,432 per unit, down 50.2% from its all-time high. However, BNB is a little closer to its peak, just 21.4% below its record high of $717, trading at $564 today.

Solana (SOL) is down 44.3%, at $145, from its all-time high of $259 reached on November 6, 2021. XRP is now down 84.3% from its peak, trading at $0.534—well below the $3.40 per unit reached six years ago.

Likewise, dogecoin (DOGE) has fallen significantly, with 84.8% still to go to reach its record high. Three years ago, DOGE soared to $0.731 per coin, while today it is $0.111.

Tron (TRX) is trading at $0.154 per coin, down 33.2% from its peak of $0.231 nearly seven years ago. Toncoin (TON) is doing a little better, down just 36.2%, having hit a high of $8.25 just four months ago, and is currently trading at $5.27.

As of October 6, the price of cardano (ADA) is $0.352, down 88.6% from its all-time high of $3.09 set three years ago. Finally, avalanche (AVAX) is down 81.5%, currently at $26.86, from its previous peak of $144 three years ago.
