HARVARD STUDENTS EXPOSED PERSONAL INFORMATION USING META’S GLASSES‼️
Two students from Harvard have developed an application that can find personal information of strangers on the street in seconds by adding facial recognition technology to Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses. This technology allows users to identify information such as a person’s name, address and phone number by simply scanning them with the glasses. The students stated that they created this project to highlight the dangers and drew attention to the risk of the technology being used for malicious purposes. Although it was stated that the application will not be made available to the public, the effects of such technologies on individual privacy have raised serious concerns.
This project is a serious warning against privacy violations, suggesting how smart glasses could be used by malicious people in the future.
