The Phantom Foundation lost about $7 million from its cryptocurrency wallets due to a scammer attack, according to blockchain security company CertiK. The hack only affected the Phantom Foundation, and not the blockchain itself. The damage was about $470,000 on Fantom and another $187,000 on Ethereum. The stolen funds were collected in a wallet containing about 4,500 ETH, worth approximately $7 million. The price of the Fantom token (FTM) fell by 4.52% after the hack. The attacker behind the attack on Phantom remains unknown.
