The U.S. SEC has pushed back the deadline for a decision on the proposed ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF to January 10, 2024, and has pushed back the resolution deadline for the Global X Bitcoin Trust to November 21, 2023.

“The Commission believes that an order specifying a longer period for deciding the rule change is appropriate to allow sufficient time to consider the proposed rule change,” the SEC said in a filing.

Currently, the SEC is reviewing spot Bitcoin ETF applications from multiple companies, including BlackRock, Fidelity, VanEck, and Invesco. The resolution deadlines for BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust, Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Trust, VanEck Bitcoin Trust, WisdomTree Bitcoin Trust, and Invesco Galaxy Bitcoin ETF were postponed to October 17, the Valkyrie Bitcoin Fund was postponed to October 19, and the Bitwise Bitcoin ETP was postponed to October 16.
