Hong Kong Stock Exchange's BTC and ETH futures ETFs are now available! Entry threshold is HK$780

With the development of blockchain technology, the participation of mainstream financial institutions and the deepening of investors' awareness, virtual assets have rapidly risen to a scale of nearly one trillion US dollars. The Hong Kong Stock Exchange also recently approved the issuance of Hong Kong stock virtual asset futures ETFs.

CSOP has launched Hong Kong's first batch of Bitcoin futures ETFs $03066.HK and Ethereum futures ETFs $03068.HK, which are officially open for subscription on (12.13) and will close at 14:00 the next day (12.14).

It is also planned to be officially listed and traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on December 16. It is reported that these two ETF products do not directly invest in virtual assets, but adopt active investment strategies to achieve long-term capital growth by mainly investing in Bitcoin futures and Ether futures of CME. The first batch of virtual asset futures ETFs issued this time are exclusively subscribed online by Huasheng Securities.

Prior to this, the Hong Kong government issued a policy statement on the development of virtual assets in Hong Kong, clarifying the SAR government's policy stance and guidelines on developing a vibrant virtual asset industry and ecosystem in Hong Kong, and demonstrating the SAR government's vision for the virtual asset industry. On the same day, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission also announced that it would allow qualified virtual asset futures ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) to be publicly offered in Hong Kong.
