🎉Good news! NFT artist Danny Casale (aka Coolman Coffeedan) wins his multi-million dollar profit-sharing contract dispute with Web3 art curator DigiArt! 🏆
Last May, Casale signed with DigiArt, which helped him increase his exposure in exchange for half of his NFT sales and exclusive rights. However, after Casale launched his own NFT project called “Coolman’s Universe” in December last year, DigiArt sued him in March this year for alleged breach of contract. 😱
DigiArt accused Casale of neglecting contractual obligations but did not list specific damages. Moreover, the company admitted that it attempted to enforce the agreement months after the project was launched. In addition, DigiArt’s contract with Casale did not provide important details such as a written start date. 📝
Ultimately, Judge Wendy Berger of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida ruled in favor of Casale and dismissed the case. 👩⚖️
According to OpenSea data, Casale's NFT series includes 10,000 cartoon avatars, with total sales reaching 26,400 ETH (approximately US$42 million), and the floor price is temporarily reported at 0.05 ETH. 💰
This is undoubtedly good news, let us look forward to more works from Casale in the Bitcoin market! 🚀
