According to Sutton, attempts to control or stop this process are futile, and our only option is to recognize its inevitability and develop a reasonable plan for transferring power to AI. The plan, called the Alberta Plan, was developed under Sutton's leadership at Alberta's DeepMind Institute for Artificial Intelligence.
