The Bank of Korea released a research report entitled "Major Issues Related to Crypto Asset Regulation and Legislative Directions", pointing out that stablecoins require stricter regulation than other crypto assets because they have the potential to undermine financial stability.

The report believes that stablecoin issuers should be required to have minimum capital and reserve assets to minimize the possibility of transferring digital asset risks to payment and settlement systems. In addition, crypto asset businesses should be registered and authorized to operate and undergo regular external audits. (Planet Daily)
