#BlackRock invests big in companies in the mining sector of #Bitcoin
The move is unusual for a traditional financial institution. However, Blackrock recently applied for approval of Bitcoin's #ETF , solidifying its position in the #criptomonedas sector.
The giant is currently the second largest shareholder among these four Bitcoin mining companies.
According to CompaniesMarketCap, the combined market capitalization of the top five Bitcoin mining companies is $5.4 billion.
However, these companies have suffered significant losses over the last month. This led BlackRock to take advantage of the market slowdown and invest in these major industry players.
