$NOW In the past 24 hours, it’s down 6.17%. The price touched 102.74. The old dog glanced at the funding rate in the middle of the night—yet it didn’t move at all, stuck at 0.00%. That’s pretty rare. Usually, when it drops this much, longs either hold the line through a negative funding rate, or shorts add positions to push funding into negative territory. But here, longs and shorts are both just lying flat—no one is willing to show their cards first.

The volume is 2.17 million, not exactly explosive, but the OI is resting at 4493.09—only a little changed compared with the past couple of days. That suggests the funds haven’t really fled; they’re staying in and enduring it.

Enduring it is often more worth watching than panic selling. I looked up this coin’s listing: it’s a U.S.-stock mirror product from Binance’s tradfi perpetual futures. The underlying isn’t crypto-native chips, and it doesn’t follow the on-chain holder concentration model. So unlike meme coins where you can track the top wallets’ movements, this kind of product has a feature: market makers doing the arbitrage between spot and futures will step in when they think pricing is off. After they correct it, price often moves even more decisively.

Right now, funding is zero and leveraged capital is basically not paying interest. Both sides are betting on direction. In this kind of stalemate, once OI suddenly jumps by 10%+, direction becomes clear. The old dog has seen these “quiet standoff” setups a few times. The recent impression is that last month $NOW was ranging around 110 for three days; then OI suddenly spiked by 15%. After that, three 15-minute candles dumped—down 8%—and the shorts basically gobbled up the longs’ breakfast money.

Back to this level. 102.74 isn’t some unbreakable floor. The daily structure looks like a pullback from a high. Above it, from 108 to 110, there’s a lot of trapped supply. Below, around 96, is the area where the last sharp selloff was halted. The funding rate hasn’t shown extreme crowding. So the main force probably won’t rush to squeeze higher shorts, and it also won’t be forced to dump hard due to negative funding. Most likely, it grinds sideways slowly until some external catalyst pushes it.

Since there’s no comparable target in the same sector to cross-check, I’ll just follow its own rhythm. This leg of $NOW isn’t even driven by a crypto narrative. It’s the shadow of the U.S. stock side—more tightly tied to macro sentiment. So technical levels have more say than sentiment.

Here’s the old dog’s take: I’ll place a small order to buy near 98.5. Stop-loss goes below 95. No upward target—I’ll decide whether to add only after watching for OI changes.
