I find the figure @Uniswap Protocol worth pausing over: over 30 days, about $76.2 billion in stablecoin trading passed through its v3 and v4 versions, out of $161.4 billion spread across 35 decentralized exchanges, according to Token Terminal. What I’m thinking here is that liquidity doesn’t always move toward the platform making the most noise, but toward the place where traders find enough room to execute their trades. Technically, a volume of this size puts Uniswap in an important position, but I don’t see it as a guarantee that its dominance will continue; the market changes when users find better execution or lower costs elsewhere.

According to an FT report, OpenAI told investors that its annual revenue rate was close to $50 billion by the end of September, after the previously announced figure was around $70 billion.

The difference here is $20 billion, and that’s not a small adjustment for a company at this stage of expansion at this scale. I think these numbers give us a glimpse of the side we don’t usually see with the AI boom: as model usage increases, the computing bill and infrastructure increase with it.
