It’s only been five days since the incident, and the foundation is already plugging the hole. Contract $INIT surged about 41% in a single day today.

Initia Foundation posted this morning (UTC+8): compensation has been approved to restore the Noble USDC, WETH, and AUSD0 used as iUSD collateral in the 10/23 incident to a 1:1 ratio. The cap is about 1.08 million USDC, 105 ETH, and 1.4 million AUSD0. Funds will be sent only after verification and final approval of the transfer.

At around 22:14 (UTC+8), INITUSDT was around 0.230, up about 41% over 24 hours, with roughly $112 million in trading volume. Over the same period, accounts’ short positions rose from about 49% to about 57%; the funding rate was around -0.039% (shorts pay), and notional open interest climbed from around $10 million last night to about $14.7 million.

Bullish. The hole is being plugged, while shorts are still piling in—the short squeeze isn’t over. If the funding rate turns positive and notional open interest falls back, or the compensation rollout runs into trouble, the direction reverses.
