Macro Week: this week, watching the market is easy—there’s just one key event, but don’t underestimate it. Monday, October 5, 17:00 Kyiv — ISM Services PMI (USA). The Services PMI remains one of the most sensitive leading indicators of the state of the U.S. economy. The services sector makes up the bulk of U.S. GDP, meaning the data directly affects expectations for the Fed’s rate path. A strong result could cool market hopes for an imminent policy easing and trigger risk-off sentiment—pressuring risk assets, including crypto. A weak result, on the other hand, would boost risk appetite and may support BTC and altcoins. In this phase, when the market is balancing between expectations for rate cuts and the resilience of the economy, even a single release can set the tone for several days of trading. $BTC $ETH #Macro #ISM

BTC to watch ISM tomorrow night. I’m bearish on this rebound. Over the next two days, I’m bearish on $BTC . This weekend’s rebound hasn’t yet recovered to the position it was before Friday’s drop. Tomorrow night, the U.S. services sector data will answer another question: has the wage/price pressure from firms easing or not? If price pressure is still worsening, I think this rebound is more likely to come under pressure again. At 22:00 Beijing time on October 5, ISM will release its September services report. I’ll first look at the price components. In the previous August report, the employment index was only 47.8, yet the prices index rose from 70.3 to 72.6. When hiring weakness and rising procurement costs happen at the same time, relying on employment weakening to expect rate cuts isn’t a sufficient rationale. The Federal Reserve just raised rates by 25 basis points in September, and its statement also clearly said inflation is still too high. If service businesses continue to face price pressure, it will be even harder for the Fed to ease. It would also be more difficult for BTC to attract buy-side demand just through rate cuts. This is my main reason for being bearish. The coin price hasn’t given me enough bullish reasons either. On October 4 at 11:06, Binance BTC/USDT spot was around 84.8k; the four-hour candle that closed before 20:00 Beijing time on Friday was around 86.4k. This drawdown hasn’t been fully recovered yet—I take it as evidence that the rebound is weak. As for what exactly is behind the sell-off, you can’t tell from the candlesticks alone. Tomorrow night could also give bulls an opportunity. If the price components clearly decline, and new orders don’t show obvious deterioration, then there would be grounds to believe cost pressures are easing, and the market would have more reason to expect rates to move lower. If I only see employment continuing to weaken, I’ll remain bearish. But if price pressure does truly ease, and BTC recovers and holds around 86.4k, then I will retract this call. #BTC #加密货币 #ISM

🔥 US ISM Manufacturing PMI comes in! One article to understand the logic behind gold, silver, + BTC/ETH market moves! Key data: September ISM Manufacturing PMI 54.5, below expectations of 55; prior reading was 54.6. It still holds above the 50 line dividing expansion and contraction. One-sentence takeaway: Economic resilience is still there, but the expansion momentum is cooling off—this is a neutral-to-slightly bullish signal, “not bad, but not strong.” ✨ Gold & Silver The data came in below expectations. Market expectations for the Fed to keep interest rates high eased slightly. Treasury yields saw downward pressure, giving gold and silver a chance for a short-term rebound. 👉 Strategy: Gold—try a small long position near support; take profit in batches at overhead resistance levels. Silver—higher sensitivity means stronger volatility; control position size strictly. ⚠️ Note: The data did not break below the expansion/contraction line, so it’s not a major bullish signal for a recession scenario. This rebound is more like a range-bound market—don’t chase higher prices! ✨ BTC & ETH Crypto assets are risk assets. This data suggests the US economy is not facing a “hard landing” risk, so it won’t trigger panic-style crashes. However, it’s also not strong enough to ignite a full-blown bull run. Most likely, prices will continue to trade in a range. 👉 Strategy: Don’t chase upside with heavy size. You can continue holding BTC/ETH positions; reduce exposure in batches near higher levels. If you’re on the sidelines, wait for a pullback to key support before considering a low entry. Focus on upcoming catalysts like the Non-Farm Payrolls and PCE inflation data. 💡 Summary: This report is just a warm-up; the main event is still ahead—Non-Farm Payrolls + PCE. The current market is mostly range-bound. Don’t go all-in, and keep leverage light. Do you think gold will surge first tonight, or pull back first? Let’s discuss in the comments! ⚠️ Risk warning: Viewpoints are for market analysis only and do not constitute any investment advice. 【Cooling ISM, but Costs Warming: Why $BTC Didn’t Break Through Directly?】 The U.S. September ISM Manufacturing PMI was just released: • PMI: 54.5, below market expectations of 55.0, and slightly lower than the prior reading of 54.6 • Prices Paid Index: 71.1 → 77.9 • New Orders: 53.7 → 55.3 • Employment Index: 51.2 → 52.7 On the surface, a PMI below expectations might seem to help ease pressure for further rate hikes; but costs, new orders, and employment are all stronger at the same time, suggesting demand hasn’t clearly weakened. As a result, manufacturing inflation pressure is actually rising. So this is not a clean case of “weak data = crypto bullish.” At around 22:31 (Taiwan time) when queried, BTC/USDT was still near $83,800, and the release did not produce a clear breakout. Next, watch two conditions: • Reclaims and holds above the $84,400 area: indicates that after the market digests cost pressures, buyers still retain the upper hand. • Breaks below $83,100 and fails to rebound: suggests inflation and rate-hike concerns are back in control, and you should watch for the range to expand downward. If price continues to get stuck between the two, it’s more likely to remain choppy—waiting for direction from tomorrow evening’s 20:30 U.S. Non-Farm Payrolls report. ISM’s real signal isn’t that the economy suddenly turns weaker, but that “growth is still there, while costs are hotter.” For BTC, this combination is usually harder to trade than simply coming in below expectations. Do you think BTC will break through $84,400 first, or retest $83,100? #BTC #bitcoin #ISM $BTC {future}(BTCUSDT)

$SOL is only about 1 hour away from the U.S. ISM manufacturing data scheduled for tonight at 22:00, but the price, spot, and futures positions have not yet all been pushed in the same direction. The official ISM schedule confirms the release of the July manufacturing PMI at that time. Market expectations are around 53.8, higher than June’s 53.3; a slight improvement is already the public consensus. Before the event, SOL has fallen by about 0.67% over the past 24 hours and is still below the daily 20-day moving average by roughly 3.5%. Over the most recent 12 hours, the spot buy-sell ratio is about 0.97, with buying and selling close to balanced. The open interest increased by about 1.61% within 12 hours, but over the full 24 hours it still declined by about 0.50%. In the short term, some participants added positions, but full-day positioning remains in contraction—there is no clear evidence of a directional risk appetite being bet on. There are no reliable historical benchmarks of the same type for this round, so we can only use a 50% neutral probability; the current estimate is 51%. Therefore, we will not trade. Even if the data comes in above expectations, SOL is still weak and the spot ratio is below 1, suggesting the positive outlook may already be priced in. If the data is below expectations but price does not keep falling, it may indicate that risk positions were exited early. Within one hour after the data, if price, spot, and positioning expand in the same direction, the current assessment of “no consistent positioning” would no longer hold—then we should reassess. #SOL #ISM

I just saw a set of data, and I instantly got goosebumps—ISM manufacturing is 55.6, and the Russell 2000 has broken to a new all-time high. These two signals show up together. In the past two rounds of super bull markets, it happened in 2016 and in 2020. In both cases, we saw an explosive rally with $BTC . This isn’t a coincidence; it’s the underlying logic of how macro liquidity transmits. What does ISM manufacturing > 55 mean? It means the US real economy is expanding and businesses are willing to spend. What does the Russell 2000 breaking to a new high mean? It means the small-cap stocks that are most sensitive and most representative of the US domestic economy are flying. Money is made in the real economy, then it starts flowing into risk assets—Bitcoin is one of the biggest reservoirs. Last year, for the whole year, ISM stayed below 50. You want a bull market? Not happening. Now both conditions are met at the same time, and this is the first time since 2020 that this kind of signal combination has appeared. But I’ve got to pour some cold water— In the 2020 instance, after ISM and the Russell 2000 broke out, BTC did indeed take off. However, along the way it also went through three pullbacks of around 20%. And this macro environment is far more complicated than back then. The Fed is still watching from the sidelines, inflation is still sticky, and nobody can say for sure whether the AI bubble has actually burst risk. But my position hasn’t moved at all; in fact, I even want to add. Not because of blind optimism, but because data doesn’t lie. When these two signals appear together, the odds do tilt toward the bulls. Of course, history won’t repeat itself in a simple way, but the rhythm is often surprisingly similar. If there really is a big move in the coming months, then this level might be the starting line. The darkness before dawn is the coldest, but the sky will brighten. Brothers, hold steady. #BTC #ISM

ISM Hits a Four-Year High—Why Is BTC Still Stuck at $63,000?The most notable overnight development isn’t just that U.S. manufacturing data beat expectations—it’s that BTC has given almost no directional signal. The U.S. July ISM manufacturing index rose to 55.6, the highest since May 2022. As of early Asian trading, BTC was still around $63,400, with 24-hour movement largely flat, while ETH slightly outperformed. This suggests the market is trading two opposing logics at the same time: growth is strengthening, which supports risk appetite; but inflation persistence remains high, which still weakens expectations for easing. For the crypto market, “good data” doesn’t necessarily translate into a one-way tailwind—the real signal is whether price can turn macro positives into fresh buying demand.

ISM Hits a Four-Year High—Why Is BTC Still Stuck at $63,000?

The most notable overnight development isn’t just that U.S. manufacturing data beat expectations—it’s that BTC has given almost no directional signal. As of early Asian trading, BTC was still around $63,400, with 24-hour movement largely flat, while ETH slightly outperformed.

For the crypto market, “good data” doesn’t necessarily translate into a one-way tailwind—the real signal is whether price can turn macro positives into fresh buying demand.
The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) has just released the August non-manufacturing PMI data, recording 55.4—higher than the prior reading of 54.1 and also notably above the market’s general expectation of 54.2. At a time when the market is highly focused on whether the U.S. economy might fall into a recession, this services-sector report is indeed a strong showing. As the largest pillar of the U.S. economy by share, the performance of the services sector has returned to an expansionary high level, directly dispelling some pessimists’ concerns that the economy could be heading for a “hard landing.” The stronger data suggests that underlying consumption and business activity remain resilient and are not as fragile as many had imagined. This also makes the Federal Reserve’s subsequent rate-cut path more complicated and less clear. Judging by the reaction in traditional financial markets, both the U.S. dollar index and U.S. Treasury yields received short-term support after the data was released. After all, strong economic data means the Federal Reserve does not necessarily need to begin large-scale easing immediately. The market’s previously overly aggressive expectations for rate cuts may now require some adjustment and rebalancing. For the crypto market, this is a mixed signal. On one hand, solid economic fundamentals reduce the systemic risk of a liquidity crisis. On the other hand, a stronger dollar and a cooling in rate-cut expectations may cause $BTC to remain range-bound in the near term, with more capital on the sidelines. Next, it’s probably best to watch more and act less, waiting for clearer macro signals. #美国经济 #ISM #PMI

BTC Gives Back Midday Gains: Why Is Tonight’s ISM “Too Strong and Too Weak Is Dangerous”? The crypto rebound in the Asian session on Monday appears to be thinning out. CoinGecko data shows that BTC was quoted at about $62,700 in the afternoon, still up about 1% over the past 24 hours, but down about 3.8% over the past seven days. ETH was around $1,855, up about 1.1% over 24 hours, but still down roughly 4.9% for the week. This looks more like a post-oversold rebound than evidence that money has already confirmed a turn. What could genuinely change the short-term trading rhythm tonight isn’t any rumor in crypto, but the U.S. July ISM manufacturing data. First, look at the conflicting signals from today’s Asian session. Japan’s July manufacturing PMI came in at 54.5, extending its seventh consecutive month of expansion. Output growth hit the fastest pace in more than 12 years, and new orders also climbed to their highest level since early 2022. Chip- and AI-related demand is an important driver. On the other hand, China’s RatingDog manufacturing PMI fell from 51.7 to 50.9, below market expectations, and growth in new orders slowed to the weakest level since January. Previously, the official manufacturing PMI also slid into the contraction zone.

$ETH The previous assessment at 9:00 PM yesterday was: before the release of the ISM services PMI, prices and spot were recovering, but contract open interest was shrinking, so there was no trading advantage—therefore, we should not trade yet. As of this morning at 9:00, this assessment is still being verified and cannot yet be recorded as a hit or a miss. About 12 hours after the post, ETH fell from around $1,873 to $1,861. The spot buy/sell ratio was about 0.94, open interest dropped another ~1.53%, and the funding rate fell to about ~0.0024%. Price, spot, and positioning still haven’t moved in the same direction; before the event, it looked more like capital was continuing to exit. Since the original contract had not been opened, there’s no trading gain here to review. The ISM will be released tonight at 10:00 PM. Next, if price, spot, and open interest all switch to the same directional expansion, the original assessment will be invalid. Otherwise, wait until the actual figures can be compared with the market expectation of 54.5, then update the view to confirm it holds or to deny it.#ETH #ISM

I’m not very optimistic about BTC in the short term based on this ISM data. The U.S. services PMI rose to 54.1 in July. On the surface: The economy still looks pretty strong. But two numbers inside matter more: The price index surged to 70.3, while employment fell to 47.4. In plain terms, things are getting more expensive, but companies are increasingly unwilling to hire. This is actually very uncomfortable for the Federal Reserve. The economy isn’t weak enough that it has to be rescued right away, and inflation isn’t low enough that it’s safe to cut rates. This is exactly the kind of situation BTC dislikes: Liquidity can’t be released, and the economy is starting to show cracks again. So for now, I won’t treat “weaker employment” as a clear positive. The real comfortable scenario would be: Employment cools gradually, and inflation cools along with it. Not this one— people are being hired less, but prices are still rising. Next, I’ll only watch Friday’s nonfarm payrolls. If employment continues to weaken significantly, and U.S. Treasury yields fall, I’ll turn more bullish. If employment isn’t bad and inflation pressure remains high, then the Fed still has reasons to stay hawkish. In one sentence: The biggest problem with the U.S. economy right now isn’t that it’s too strong or too weak. It’s that it has a bit of stagflation flavor. $BTC $ETH #ISM #美国ISM服务业指数升至54.1
