• The Render Network is a provider of decentralized GPU-based rendering solutions. RNDR is its native utility token designed as the payment currency for services offered by Render Network.

  • RNDR is the native token of the project. The current use cases for RNDR includes:

    • Payment Currency: RNDR is the utility token used to pay for animation, motion graphics, and VFX rendering on the distributed RNDR Network.

  • The project consists of the following major components working in conjunction:

    • Creators: RNDR provides rendering solutions to users that make digital visuals. Through the RNDR network, creators can tap into GPU power beyond their doorstep, rendering final images at higher speeds and lower costs than previously available.

    • Node Operators: RNDR network allows node operators to rent out their spare GPU to creators and receive RNDR tokens for time spent rendering.

    • OctaneRender: OctaneRender is the GPU rendering software created by OTOY that is used in the Render Network.

    • RNDR Credit: RNDR Credits can be purchased using PayPal and Stripe directly through the RNDR website, offering an alternative payment option for non-crypto users to use the Render Network.

RNDR Credits are backed by RNDR tokens that are purchased from the market by the RNDR Team. While the creator pays for a job using RNDR Credits, node operators are paid out in RNDR tokens for their work.

    • OctaneBench: One RNDR token or RNDR Credit is mapped to a unit of work called OctaneBench. OctaneBench is a tool created by OTOY in order to define compute power provided by any combination of graphics cards into a single score. The score is then used inside a multi-tier pricing structure, based on speed, security, cost, and node reputation.

  • As at November 29th 2021, the maximum and total token supply of RNDR is 523,713,616.
