About BarnBridge (BOND)
BarnBridge is a cross-platform tiered derivatives protocol that quantifies and batch-tags DeFi product risk through several dimensions of yield and volatility, grading the risk to provide options to investors with different needs. BarnBridge allows users to execute positions based on factors such as interest rate fluctuations and asset price movements. Users access debt pools on decentralized financial protocols and create multiple assets with different risks and yields in a single debt pool. The platform offers both senior and junior stages of investment, with senior-stage investors receiving fixed interest payments and the remaining proceeds flowing to junior investors who can maximize returns at higher rates but without guaranteed expenses.
Users can modify their exposure to the performance of an underlying asset using one of BarnBridge's products, SMART Alpha. SMART Alpha enables users to modify their exposure to assets by regularly reallocating an aggregated pool of the underlying asset between the two user groups: senior and junior. When prices rise, seniors transfer some of their assets to juniors, and vice versa, reportedly providing price protection up to a specific limit in return for greater upside potential.
All governance of the BarnBridge protocol is done on-chain through holding BOND tokens and BarnBridgeDAO participation. The DAO is the only way to make decisions about the funding and resources of the protocol.
