Frequently Asked Questions

1
What is Featured ETF?
Featured ETF is a dedicated shelf on Binance Earn that offers a curated selection of listed ETFs focused on cash-management, steady-income, and yield-enhancement strategies, such as short-term U.S. Treasury ETFs and investment-grade bond ETFs.
You browse and compare products on the shelf; every order is placed by you and executed on the market through Binance Stock Trading, and you hold the actual ETF shares. Featured ETF is an information and access channel: it is not a savings product and does not offer fixed returns, and ETF prices fluctuate with the market.
2
What is an ETF?
An ETF (exchange-traded fund) is a fund listed on a stock exchange that typically tracks an index or holds a basket of securities, such as short-term U.S. Treasuries. ETF shares trade on an exchange in the same way as stocks: prices move continuously during trading sessions, and your return consists of changes in the market price plus any cash distributions the ETF pays. The value of an ETF may fall as well as rise.
3
Is Featured ETF principal-protected?
No. Featured ETF is not a principal-protected product, and it is not a deposit or savings product. Although the zone sits within Binance Earn, the ETFs it offers are securities that trade at market prices: the value of your holdings rises and falls with the market, and losses, including loss of principal, are possible. Binance does not guarantee your principal or any return and does not compensate for market losses; like all ETFs, the products in the zone carry no capital guarantee from their issuers.

How are the Featured ETFs selected, and does the lineup change?
Binance selects the Featured ETFs from the U.S.-listed ETFs available on Binance Stock Trading, based on objective criteria such as fund size, trading liquidity, expense ratio, and the issuer's track record. They are grouped by the assets they hold: Cash Management (short-term Treasuries and AAA credit), Steady Income (medium- and long-term Treasuries and investment-grade bonds), and Yield Enhancement (equities, bonds, and multi-asset). None of them is principal-protected.
The lineup is reviewed regularly and may change from time to time: ETFs may be added as they meet the criteria, or removed if they no longer do (for example, if fund size or liquidity declines, or the fund is closed by its issuer). If an ETF you hold is removed from the zone, your holdings are not affected — you can continue to hold or sell it through Binance Stock Trading. Inclusion in the zone is not a recommendation or investment advice; please review the product information before making your own decisions.

What happens if an ETF is delisted?
An ETF is usually delisted because its issuer has decided to close and liquidate the fund. The issuer announces the last trading day in advance, and Binance will post an announcement where practicable. Once a delisting is announced, the ETF is removed from Featured ETF and buying is restricted on Binance Stock Trading (sell-only): you can still sell on the market as usual until the last trading day, but new purchases are no longer accepted. Note that an ETF being wound down may hold mostly cash and trade with wider spreads, so its price can deviate from its net asset value.
If you still hold shares after the last trading day, the fund sells its assets and pays out its remaining net asset value per share in cash: the proceeds are credited to your Funding Account in USDC under standard market and broker processes, the shares are cancelled, and any pending orders are cancelled. The amount you receive may be higher or lower than your purchase price. Any final distribution the fund pays before liquidating is processed like a regular distribution.
