Let’s talk about the MACD golden cross on the daily chart for $BULLA . First, let’s be clear about two limitations of the indicator:
First, it lags. MACD is calculated from moving averages, so by the time the golden cross appears, the price has usually already moved some distance off its low (up 6.51% over 24 hours).
Second, it doesn’t work well in choppy markets. In a range-bound market, golden and death crosses can keep appearing back and forth, producing lots of false signals.
Before this crossover, the histogram bars pointing in the opposite direction persisted for 28 daily candles. That’s a fairly long one-way move, so this crossover may be more meaningful than one that occurs during sideways trading.
