A billion in stablecoins left the market, and BTC is green. How does that work?

I checked stablecoin flows this morning and at first I couldn't believe my eyes.

📉 −$1.1B — USDT shrank over the past 24 hours

📈 +$208M — USDC, on the other hand, grew

💸 −$883M — net stablecoin outflows over the past 24 hours

🟢 +2.3% — Bitcoin over the same 24 hours

Honestly, I’m not worried by numbers like these.

Stablecoin issuance and burning follow price; they don’t lead it.

So a negative flow on its own isn’t a signal to dump.

Money is moving around: leaving USDT, with some flowing into USDC.

But net outflows are still close to a billion.

And this rally is happening without fresh fuel.

Next, I’m watching to see whether issuance catches up with the price:

✅ USDT turns positive — the rally gets some support

❌ Burning continues — longs won’t have much to stand on

Price is running, while the market’s wallet is getting thinner.

Classic: everyone celebrates the green candle while a billion quietly slips out the back door.
