🚨 Breaking update: 2 hours ago, MediaMarkt pulled all Ledger hardware wallets from its shelves
Europe’s largest electronics retailer, MediaMarktSaturn, announced that it has removed all Ledger devices (the little “USB stick” containing $BTC $ETH ) from more than 1,000 stores and its online shop across 11 countries as a precaution.
The incident came to light thanks to a German guy named Johannes: he bought a Ledger at each of two different stores, and when he opened them up, both had been tampered with—extra cables plus a hidden LTE cellular module (with an eSIM).
In plain English: the 24 recovery words you see on the screen during setup could be secretly photographed and sent out over a mobile network. You buy a hardware wallet and it comes with its own SIM card. That’s what you call a “physical backstab” 😅
Ledger also responded on X today, and handled it pretty well: ✅ The sales pause was agreed with MediaMarkt—not a falling-out ✅ No loss of funds has been detected in the German incident so far ✅ Ledger’s own systems and servers weren’t breached; the issue was limited to certain retail channels
Add another entry to the growing ledger: in the Southeast Asian CryptoBilis case, Bitquery raised its estimated losses for 10–12 to $102M across 324 wallets, and Tether has frozen $10M. The former Mt. Gox CEO also claimed today that a Ledger Flex bought at Singapore airport had been tampered with—unbelievable.
The silver lining (if you look hard enough): the retailer reacted quickly, Ledger didn’t pass the buck, and there are no confirmed losses so far. A lucky break in an otherwise bad situation.
Just remember this: only buy hardware wallets from the official website or official stores. Don’t touch a “90% new Ledger,” no matter how cheap it is.

Three knives held to his face in the middle of the night: British trader robbed of $800,000 at home
Just after 9 a.m. today, a verified trader on X with the handle @rrealist posted a tweet that was seen by 1.93 million people:
In the middle of the night, someone broke into his home in the UK, tied him up, held three knives to his face, and threatened to kill him. In the end, $800,000 worth of crypto assets was stolen.
He later added more details himself, recounting what happened that night:
The robbers first accessed his main wallet and transferred out $40,000. Then they forced him to hand over a Ledger hardware wallet, which held another $720,000. Before leaving, they also took his Rolex and smashed his phone—presumably to stop him from calling the police right away.
He reported the incident to the police, and the entire house is now a crime scene. Thankfully, apart from a few bruises, he wasn’t stabbed.
He also shared the wallet address holding the stolen funds in his post. It can be looked up on Solscan, where the balance at the time was still 346.12 SOL. That’s how crypto is: the whole world can see where the money went, but getting it back is nearly impossible.
He reflected: “You hear about this kind of thing all the time, but never think it’ll happen to you.”
💡 A few practical takeaways
This is a warning to everyone involved in crypto—and a hard lesson learned the painful way:
First, don’t show off how much money you have online. You may think you’re sharing your wins, but to the wrong people, it’s a guide to robbing you: “This person has $800,000 in crypto at home.”
Second, physical security matters just as much as on-chain security. Don’t leave hardware wallets somewhere obvious, spread large holdings across different wallets, and don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
Third, don’t link your wallet addresses to your identity. The more transparent you are online, the more at risk you may be in real life.
🚨Breaking: Russia’s biggest bank is officially getting into crypto trading!
Here’s how surreal this is: A few years ago, the Russian central bank’s attitude toward crypto was basically: “Let’s ban it once and for all.” Today? The country’s largest bank, Sberbank, has a license issued by the central bank itself and will let customers buy and sell $BTC , $ETH , and $USDT directly in its banking app starting December 1.
Here are a few precise figures that show just how significant this is: 📋 The list of licensed firms updated by Russia’s central bank today: crypto exchange licenses have risen from 4 to 10, custody licenses from 5 to 6, with the two major banks Sberbank and VTB both on the list 📱 Official launch on December 1, with trading available directly on three existing platforms—SberBank Online / SberInvestments / SberBusiness—so users won’t need to download a new app ⏪ For context: just 6 days ago (October 7), it received a custody license, becoming the first in all of Russia to do so. Now it has its trading license too—both licenses secured
One caveat: crypto still can’t be used to pay for goods and services inside Russia. That’s been banned since 2022, and nothing has changed.
A country that once wanted to ban crypto, now with its biggest bank personally getting into crypto trading—what a plot twist. Even screenwriters wouldn’t dare write this.
Let’s talk in the comments: Which country do you think will be next to have its biggest bank get into crypto trading?

🚨Breaking: South Korea just blocked 27 exchange websites in one go!
In other words: if you still have assets on KuCoin or MEXC, go check on them now.
① The list is full of familiar names: KuCoin, MEXC, Phemex, Bitrue, BitMart, BingX, CoinW, BTCC, DigiFinex… 27 exchanges, not one left out—all entities that aren’t registered in South Korea but are still secretly serving Korean users.
② The action was taken by South Korea’s Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), which made the decision after meetings on October 6–7: domestic servers will be shut down, and overseas websites will be blocked. This time, both the apps and websites are being taken down.
③ This isn’t the first time: back in April 2025, they removed 14 apps from Apple’s App Store and 17 from Google Play. This time, they’re plugging the gap on the website front.
④ The one considerate thing: the FIU itself acknowledged that withdrawals could run into snags, and said it would work with DAXA (the Korean exchange alliance) to provide users with withdrawal guidance—the money should be withdrawable, but it may take some effort.
Put simply: South Korea is following through on “no license, no business in Korea” to the letter. The stricter the compliance rules, the fewer chances shady platforms have to run off with users’ money. In the long run, that’s not necessarily a bad thing for the industry.
Do you still have any U on these exchanges? What was the first thing you did when you saw the news? #韩国 #Regulation

🚨 Breaking: New developments in the Ledger supply-chain theft case—the estimated losses have been revised up to $102 million!
On 10-12, on-chain investigators Bitquery updated their report: estimated losses from the theft involving tampered Ledger wallets sold through Malaysian distributor CryptoBilis have risen from $86M to $102M, affecting 324 wallets.
In other words: hackers added theft circuitry to genuine hardware wallets and sold them as authentic. As soon as users deposited crypto, their funds were remotely swept away. The TRON network took the biggest hit, with losses of $79.3M, while $BTC $16.8M was lost across other networks, including $ETH and BNB Chain.
As bad as this is, there are a few bright spots:
① Tether has frozen $10M USDT in 20 associated wallets; ② As of 10-12, around $82M in funds could still be traced on-chain—they haven't completely vanished; ③ Ledger's official direct-sales channels and its own systems were not affected, so there's no need to worry if you bought your device through an official channel; ④ Even CZ weighed in: the hackers "clearly bought the distributor," and the investigation is ongoing.
One more reminder: modified Ledger Nano X devices were just discovered today on Amazon and Yahoo Auctions in Japan, too. When buying a hardware wallet, stick to official channels—the shipping you save just isn't worth the risk this time.

🚨 Breaking: Binance just announced it’s “pulling the plug” today! After 6.5 years in operation, Binance Pool will officially shut down on November 10.
In plain English: Binance is getting out of the mining pool business, so miners will have to move their machines elsewhere.
📋 Save this timeline (all times are UTC): November 10, 07:00 — Official disconnection: mining machines won’t be able to connect, submitted hashrate will no longer be accepted, and payouts will stop. Pool Savings users: Redeem your funds before November 10—don’t put it off. Anyone who hasn’t completed identity verification: Get it done by November 10, 23:59, or your settlement may be affected. You can access your historical records until November 24, 07:00. After that, the page will be permanently closed.
💡 The upsides: 1️⃣ A clean exit: The full timeline is laid out, so the shutdown is clear and straightforward. 2️⃣ No funny business with balances: Hashrate submitted before the deadline will still count, and eligible rewards and refunds will still be paid after the shutdown. 3️⃣ Spot and futures trading are completely unaffected—business as usual.
⚠️ The downside, in a nutshell: Mining machine users need to find a new pool now and switch their configurations before November 10. Don’t sleep on it.
The pool launched in April 2020, starting with $BTC mining. Along the way, it also ran a $500 million mining company loan program. And now, after 6.5 years, it’s closing just like that. The official explanation: routine product line adjustments.

🚨Breaking: Thailand has made its decision! Spot BTC and ETH ETFs officially approved
In plain English: From now on, buying Bitcoin in Thailand won’t require the hassle of opening an exchange account or managing your own private keys—you can simply buy ETFs for $BTC and $ETH through your stock account, just like buying shares.
📌 The new rules take effect this Friday (October 16). The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) may list spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. 📌 Only these two coins are approved initially: only those with a sufficiently large market and ample liquidity qualify. 📌 Each fund’s average net exposure to spot assets must exceed 80% of its net assets. Derivatives can’t be used as a substitute—the funds must actually buy the coins. 📌 The coins must be held by local custodians approved by Thailand’s SEC. Overseas custodians can wait for now.
The benefits at a glance: ① Another gateway to regulatory compliance has opened in Southeast Asia, making it easier for traditional capital to enter. ② ETFs are convenient for retail investors and reassuring for institutions, with plenty of potential for fresh investment. ③ Thailand had already approved USDT for trading and payments. This latest move builds on that momentum, and the regulatory outlook is becoming increasingly clear.
A brief word of caution: The new rules have only just taken effect, and specific products still need to go through the issuer approval process. Don’t rush to go all in before everything is finalized.
Market snapshot (live data from TradingView): $BTC is currently at $83,472 (24h +2.11%); $ETH is currently at $2,508.5 (24h +2.62%).

🚨 I opened the charts this morning and sounded the alarm for you first: Help——
📌$BTC $81,500, down 2.76% in 24h. The 7-day moving average ($83,252) and 25-day moving average ($83,789) are looming overhead like two giant legs—translation: a moving average is the average price over the past N days. When the price stays below it for a while, it means the short-term bulls are getting pinned down. Any bounce to $83,200–$83,800 would be a welcome party for the bears.
📌$ETH $2,427.05, down 4.46% in 24h—just a bubble tea away from its 14-day low of $2,406.4. RSI is 46.5, still sitting on the sidelines, not yet in oversold territory.
📌$APT $0.7904, plunging 12.27% in 24h—the most battered one in the market today. It even hit $0.915 at its 24h high; one day wiped out a month's worth of good vibes.
**Short-term outlook: bearish. For $BTC , first watch whether it can hold $81,300 (the 24h low). If it can't, it may go knock on the door at $80,400 (the 10-09 low).**
There is some good news, though: RSI isn't oversold yet. If the price really drops near $80,400, bulls may step in to buy. Bottom-fishers, you can set your alarm for then⏰
(Data as of 8:27 this morning; live OKX spot prices)
SOL ($104.15, −6.36%) and BNB ($727.2, −3.48%) are also lining up to take their turns leading the declines. Are you planning to buy the dip today, or keep lying low and playing dead? See you in the comments👇
I just checked the market: BTC is at 82,638, just a few dozen bucks shy of 82,700. This support is about as sturdy as wet tissue.
It tested 84,000 twice this week and got smacked down both times. ETFs saw $681 million in outflows last week—the biggest since June. You know what that means: there’s no one up there to catch the falling knife.
I don’t think 82,700 will hold. If it breaks, the next level to watch is 82,000. The eventual target is 75,000.
I’m not touching it at this level. Let the brave ones catch the falling knife.
Here’s the breakdown: 110.8 is stuck in the middle, with resistance at 112.5 above and support at 108.8 below. Which way will it go tonight? That depends on whether the bears show any mercy.
Scenario 1: 108.8 holds and price stabilizes. The bulls catch their breath, and the next level to watch is 112.5. You can hold your position. Scenario 2: Price breaks below 108.8 on strong volume. Don’t try to catch a falling knife—wait and reassess at the 108 round-number level.
Which scenario is more likely? Scenario 1. Why: The 48-hour low of 108.8 has held before, and there are still buyers above 110. It doesn’t look like a straight plunge.
Pros: Clear levels. If 108.8 breaks, get out—you’ll know exactly what you’ve lost. Cons: If the broader market leads a sell-off, SOL has never been one to sit it out, and 108 may not hold either.

$ETH Entry levels are here—time to copy the playbook 📝
In other words: 2,542 is moving sideways in the 2,493–2,577 range. There’s money to be made on either side; the key is whether you’re brave enough to take a position.
Long ① Aggressive: Enter now at 2,542 with a small position. Set a stop-loss at 2,490 (cut your losses if it breaks below S1). First target: 2,577. Long ② Conservative: Wait for a pullback to 2,493 and enter once it holds. Stop-loss: 2,445. Target: 2,577; if it breaks through, look to 2,600. Short ③: If it rebounds to 2,577 and fails to break above it, go short. Stop-loss: 2,605. Target: 2,493.
Key point: 2,493 is critical. If it breaks, don’t stay in the trade—wait for 2,450 instead.
Pros: The range boundaries are clear, stops are easy to place, and the risk/reward is favorable. Cons: The middle of the range can be choppy. If you can’t sit tight, stay out—and beware of getting caught out on either side.
For reference only; this is not investment advice.
In plain English: Price is drifting around 83,300 on low volume, with a ceiling at 84,000 and a floor at 82,700. Tonight is a battle between the floor and the ceiling.
🟢 The bulls’ hand: The 82,700 low from the past 48 hours has held before. Price is now hovering just above that level—the closer it gets to the floor, the more tempting it is to buy the dip. 🔴 The bears’ hand: Several long upper wicks in a row above 84,000—a classic case of “banging your head against a wall.” Add tonight’s big bearish candle, and the bears have just finished grinding the bulls into the ground.
The verdict: The bears have the stronger hand tonight. First, watch whether 82,700 holds. If it doesn’t, price could head straight for 82,000. Even if it does hold, that may only offer a brief breather—don’t expect 84,000 to be within reach in the short term.
The upside: If 82,700 holds, this could be a decent spot for a short-term long position. The downside: Buying the dip right after a big bearish candle is no different from trying to catch a falling knife. Don’t get carried away with your position size.
For reference only; this is not investment advice.
🚨 The market quietly bounced back from last night into this morning
First, a quick look at the numbers (just checked on TradingView, prices at 7:21): $BTC 83,611 dollars, up 0.83% in 24 hours $ETH 2,532 dollars, up 1.14% $SOL 111 dollars, up 0.95%
📌 In plain English Friday’s $1 billion in long liquidations basically flushed out traders who were using too much leverage. After that shakeout, the market actually steadied, and today it’s bounced slightly—the bad news is out, so people are less rattled.
💡 Next, keep an eye on two levels Upside: 84,000—the hurdle that recent rebounds have failed to clear. A break above it would signal a real shift to strength. Downside: 81,300—last week’s low. A break below it would mean the rebound was a fake-out, and the market may have to search for a lower bottom.
🔹 In a nutshell This is a breather after the drop. Bulls, don’t pop the champagne just yet; bears, don’t rush to add to your positions. Wait and see what happens at 84,000.
Do you think it’ll break through 84,000 this time? Share your thoughts in the comments 👇
Bitcoin at $84,000 feels like it's hit a ceiling, hovering at $83,958, unable to go up or down. If it breaks through, the next target is $87,000; if it gets rejected, it could first fall back to $82,200. I'm bullish.

$APT monthly unlocks cut by 60%+; foundation locks up 210 million tokens. Can the bears sleep tonight? 🔥
1. **A historic tightening of supply**: Monthly unlocks are cut from 11.31M to 4.54M, a 60% reduction. Today’s unlock is the last one under the old schedule; the 2.1 billion hard cap has been approved through governance. The foundation’s 210 million tokens are permanently locked and will earn interest rather than be sold—effectively removing sell pressure equivalent to 18% of the circulating supply.
2. **Price action has already voted**: APT held the 200-day moving average on October 8 and rose 11% after the news broke. It’s now at $0.92–0.94, up 13–15% over 24 hours and 17.5% so far in October.
3. **The ecosystem is delivering**: Aave has launched (its first non-EVM deployment); Decibel’s full-chain DEX launched in September; PACT has brought over $1 billion in on-chain assets; and the testnet has surpassed 10 billion transactions. Google Cloud and Microsoft are both working on validator nodes and infrastructure partnerships.
4. **There are still more cards to play**: The foundation says it is exploring using its cash reserves to buy back APT. Gas fees are set to increase 10x, with all fees burned. If Decibel surpasses 100 markets next year, annual burns could exceed 32 million tokens.
$SOL Entry levels are here—time to copy the playbook 📝
In other words: SOL is at 109.6, stuck in no-man’s-land. Aggressive traders want to jump in now, cautious traders want to wait for a pullback, and bears are sharpening their knives around 110.5. Tonight, let’s map out the entry levels for all three scenarios.
Bullish ① Aggressive: Start with a small long position around the current price of 109.6. Set a stop-loss at 108.0 and look for 110.5 as the first target; if it breaks through, look to 111.3. Bullish ② Cautious: Wait for a pullback to 108.3 and enter once it holds. Set a stop-loss at 107.5 and target 110.5. Bearish ③: Short if a rebound to 110.5 is rejected. Set a stop-loss at 111.5 and look for a move back to 108.3.
Key point: 108.3 is critical. If it breaks, don’t get attached to the trade—look straight to the 108 round-number level.
Pros: All three sets of levels are laid out, with position sizes adjusted by risk—whatever happens, you won’t panic. Cons: If the 108 round-number level breaks, there isn’t much meaningful support below.

Let’s translate that: Ethereum is at 2,504 right now, just a breath away from the 48-hour high of 2,517—the bulls are calling for a breakout, the bears are calling a top. Tonight, I’m the referee.
The bulls’ cards: ① The 48-hour low of 2,472 has held for several days, so they still have some confidence ② It has rebounded all the way from the 7-day low of 2,404.6, and the rebound may not be over yet
The bears’ cards: ① The 2,510–2,520 range is a 48-hour zone where buyers are trapped; every attempt to break through has been pushed back ② The current price is only a few bucks below the high, so chasing it offers pretty poor risk-reward
Referee’s verdict: Leaning bearish. It’s not that I’m pessimistic, but there’s very little room to move up from here—only if it breaks above 2,520 can the bulls talk big. If it can’t, watch for a pullback to 2,472.
Upside: If 2,472 holds, this rebound is still alive Downside: If 2,450 breaks, the rebound is over
Data from Coinbase spot hourly candles, recorded around 8 p.m. tonight. For reference only; this is not investment advice.
A quick translation: Bitcoin has clawed its way back from the 80,315 low and is now hovering around 83,083—is it really finding its footing, or is another sharp reversal on the way?
Scenario 1: If 82,200 holds and stabilizes If the price stays above the 48-hour low, it means dip buyers are still holding their ground. First watch 83,200, then 83,400. Bulls can keep holding their positions.
Scenario 2: If 82,200 breaks on high volume That would mean the previous low has been breached. Don't try to catch a falling knife. The next level to watch is the round number of 82,000; wait to see if it stabilizes there.
I'm betting Scenario 1 is more likely: after hitting a 7-day low of 80,315, the price has bounced back in a V-shape. The hourly highs and lows are both moving up, and the bears have already used up half their strength.
Upside: If support holds, the rebound continues, with 83,400 as the first target. Downside: If 82,000 also breaks, the rebound story is over. Stay well clear.

📊 $BTC is back above 83,000! Yesterday it was teetering on the edge of 81,000, and today it’s back at full strength?
🔹 This morning around 7 (Finnhub, Binance spot; just updated): $BTC $83,094 (+0.56%), $ETH $2,509.84 (+0.85%), $SOL $110.51 (+1.26%), BNB $751.39 (+1.21%) — everything’s in the green, and the rebound is heating up 🔥
📌 In plain English: October ETF net outflows are nearing $1 billion. Yesterday, $BTC briefly fell below 81,000, triggering around $1.1 billion in liquidations, and sentiment sank to the point where “no one would dare look if it fell further.” The bears have run out of steam, and the bulls gave the market a nudge — a classic “no further room to fall” rebound.
⚡️ Technical outlook: $BTC held around 81,000, leaving a long lower wick. 80,400 is the first line of defense below; above, 84,000 is the first key level to watch, with room to move only if it holds. $ETH reclaimed 2,500, $SOL climbed back above 110, and BNB led the rally with +1.21% — the whole cheer squad is here.
💡 APT (yesterday’s data) closed at $0.82, above its 7-day moving average of $0.80. RSI is a neutral-to-warm 56.9, with first resistance at $0.89 — hold steady, no rush to add to your position.
A couple of positives: this rally is not a one-coin sprint; it looks like sentiment recovery, not a bull trap. One note of caution: ETFs are still seeing net outflows, so treat this rebound as an oversold recovery for now.
