Memory stocks are drawing billions in crypto trading. Tokenization tells only half the story. SanDisk, SK Hynix, Micron and Samsung collectively recorded approximately $8.75B in 24-hour perpetual trading volume in CoinGeckoโ€™s October 19 snapshot. The breakdown: โ€ข SK Hynix, Korean listing: $3.90B โ€ข SanDisk: $2.62B โ€ข Micron: $1.34B โ€ข Samsung: $893M For comparison, Nvidia recorded approximately $475M. The surprising detail is the gap between tokenization and trading activity. CoinGecko showed roughly $106M in tokenized market capitalization for SanDisk, alongside $2.62B in daily perp turnover. Samsung and SK Hynixโ€™s Korean listing had perp activity even though their tokenized market-cap fields were blank. Crypto platforms can offer stock-price exposure through derivatives without a corresponding tokenized share appearing in that dataset. But volume needs careful interpretation. These figures measure trading turnover, not fresh capital entering the market. They also do not reveal whether traders are predominantly bullish or bearish. And stock perpetuals provide derivative exposure, not ownership of the underlying shares. The bigger shift is that crypto trading infrastructure is becoming a venue for expressing views on traditional markets, including the memory-chip trade. โ€œBacked 1:1โ€ answers an important question. There are still more questions worth asking before buying a tokenized stock. What exactly do you own when you hold the token? Binanceโ€™s bStocks disclosures describe the tokens as representing an interest in underlying securities held by the issuer. Holding a bStock does not directly make you a shareholder of the underlying listed company. That distinction matters when assessing your rights. Iโ€™d start with three checks: โ€ข Who issues the token and holds the underlying security? โ€ข What rights do the product documents give token holders? โ€ข What conditions apply to transfers, conversions and redemption? Eligibility also depends on jurisdiction and product terms. The convenience of moving financial assets on-chain is interesting. Understanding the legal structure helps us evaluate that convenience properly. My approach is to read the rights attached to the token before deciding what its backing means for me. As of its October 15, 2026 announcement: โ€ข Over $1B in AUM โ€ข Over $40B in cumulative trading volume since launch โ€ข $6B in conversions between direct stock holdings and bStocks Each measures something different. RWA: The Quiet Revolution Moving Finance On-ChainA few years ago, getting exposure to U.S. Treasuries as an individual investor could feel unnecessarily complicated. Paperwork,Brokers, Settlement delays, Fees. Now imagine doing almost the same thing from a crypto wallet. You buy a tokenized Treasury product, hold it on-chain, earn the underlying yield and move that position across blockchain infrastructure. That shift is easy to underestimate. Because this isn't really about putting another asset on a blockchain. It's about changing how financial assets can be owned, moved and used. And that's where RWAs get interesting. So, what exactly are RWAs? Real-world assets are simply assets that already exist in the traditional economy but are represented, issued or distributed using blockchain infrastructure. Think: U.S. Treasuries Private credit Commodities Real estate Stocks Funds Other financial instruments. The interesting part isn't just the token. It's what happens after the asset becomes programmable. Once an asset exists on-chain, it can potentially be moved 24/7, divided into smaller units, integrated into DeFi applications and used as collateral or liquidity without relying entirely on traditional financial infrastructure. That is the part of RWA I find most interesting. Crypto spent years building infrastructure for digital money. RWAs are starting to bring real economic assets and their cash flows onto that infrastructure. And the numbers are getting harder to ignore. According to RWA xyz, RWA currently tracks roughly $39.24B in distributed tokenized asset value, excluding the much larger represented-asset universe. That's a big jump from where the sector was not long ago. And more importantly, the growth isn't happening on just one chain. Why I think RWA could become the bridge between TradFi and crypto Traditional finance has something crypto desperately wants: capital and real economic assets. Crypto has something traditional finance has historically struggled to offer at scale: programmable, global and composable financial infrastructure. RWA sits somewhere in the middle. Imagine a tokenized Treasury being used as collateral. Or a tokenized private-credit position becoming a yield-bearing asset inside DeFi. Or tokenized stocks being transferred between wallets instead of sitting entirely inside traditional brokerage infrastructure. That's when tokenization becomes more than simply putting a certificate on-chain. The real opportunity is composability. And institutions are clearly paying attention. BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, banks, fintech companies and specialist tokenization platforms are all participating in different parts of the market. The infrastructure is also becoming increasingly multi-chain. RWA_xyz currently tracks 38 networks in its RWA ecosystem, with more than 1.36M RWA holders across the tracked networks. That's important. Because it suggests RWA isn't developing as a single-chain experiment. It's becoming an ecosystem. Even BNB Chain recently reported that its RWA holder base crossed 400k while Avalanche recorded a 360.15% increase in 30-day RWA transfer volume, reaching about $365.29M.ย  That is not just narrative rotation. It is evidence of infrastructure being used. But here's the metric I'm watching most closely Everyone talks about TVL. And yes, TVL matters. But I don't think TVL tells the whole story. Value tells you what's sitting there. Transfer volume tells you what's moving. And movement matters. If tokenized assets are constantly being transferred between wallets, venues and applications, that's a very different signal from billions of dollars simply sitting in contracts. That's why I pay attention to transfer volume alongside asset value. It suggests the market isn't only about creating tokenized assets. There is an emerging market around actually using them. And that's where I think things get much more interesting. Five RWA projects I would keep on my CT radar 1. Ondo Ondo is one of the clearest names in the tokenized-asset conversation. RWA_xyz currently puts its distributed asset value at around $3.61B, with roughly $2.65B in monthly transfer volume. What makes Ondo interesting to me isn't simply the size. It's the direction. The platform has been expanding beyond tokenized Treasury products into tokenized equities and other financial products. That makes Ondo worth watching as tokenization moves from government debt into a broader range of financial assets. 2. Securitize Securitize is another major piece of the institutional tokenization infrastructure. RWA_xyz currently shows approximately $5.00B in distributed asset value and about $348M in monthly transfer volume. Its importance is less about being a flashy crypto narrative and more about infrastructure. If large financial institutions want to bring funds and other securities on-chain, somebody needs to handle the tokenization and distribution layer. Securitize is already operating in that part of the market. 3. Maple Maple is particularly interesting because of its focus on credit. RWA_xyz's indexed data shows approximately $2.40B in distributed asset value and $4.12B in monthly transfer volume. And that tells me something important. RWA isn't only about tokenized Treasuries. Credit could become one of the biggest parts of the entire story. If more institutional lending activity moves on-chain, platforms building the infrastructure around credit could become extremely important. 4. Centrifuge Centrifuge is another name I would keep an eye on. Its current RWA_xyz page shows around $1.65B in distributed asset value, with approximately $189M in monthly transfer volume. Centrifuge is focused heavily on bringing financial products and real-world assets into on-chain markets. What interests me here is the infrastructure angle. The winners in RWA may not necessarily be the protocols with the loudest tokens. They could be the companies and protocols quietly building the systems that allow institutions to issue, manage and distribute tokenized assets. 5. reserveprotocol Reserve is slightly different from the other names on this list, and that's exactly why I think it's worth watching. Reserve allows users to create and manage RTokens, with its DTF(decentralised token funds) architecture providing a way to construct tokenized baskets on-chain. So I wouldn't put Reserve in exactly the same category as Ondo or Securitize. It's more crypto-native. And that's what makes it interesting. According to CoinGecko, RSR's 24-hour trading volume is currently around $6M, although that is token trading volume and should not be compared directly with RWA platform transfer volume. The bigger thing I'm watching with Reserve is the DTF model and how portfolio construction can increasingly happen on-chain. If RWAs eventually become more composable, protocols that let users build and manage baskets of assets could become increasingly relevant. The RWA trade is bigger than buying an โ€œRWA tokenโ€ This is probably the biggest thing I took away while researching the sector. The opportunity isn't necessarily in finding the next token that has โ€œRWAโ€ attached to its name. It's in understanding the infrastructure underneath the narrative. Who issues the assets? Who provides custody? Who creates liquidity? Who handles compliance? Who distributes the products? Who settles the transactions? And perhaps most importantly: Who makes those assets useful once they are on-chain? Those are the businesses and protocols I think are worth watching. Because if tokenization really does become a major part of global finance, the biggest winners may be the infrastructure providers rather than the assets themselves. And this is why I'm paying attention to Real World Assets now RWA_xyz currently puts distributed tokenized asset value at roughly $38.16B, while represented assets push the broader figure much higher. That's still tiny compared with traditional financial markets. But that's also the opportunity. We aren't looking at a market that has already captured the world's financial assets. We're watching the infrastructure being built before that happens. Crypto spent the last cycle proving that money could move globally on-chain. The next phase could be about something much bigger: bringing the assets that generate that money on-chain too. And if that happens at scale, RWA won't just be another crypto narrative. It could become one of the main bridges between TradFi and DeFi. #RWA $RSR $ONDO {spot}(RSRUSDT)

RWA: The Quiet Revolution Moving Finance On-Chain

A few years ago, getting exposure to U.S.
Think:
U.S. Treasuries
Private credit
Commodities
Real estate
Stocks
Funds
Other financial instruments.

That is not just narrative rotation. It is evidence of infrastructure being used.
But here's the metric I'm watching most closely
Everyone talks about TVL.
And yes, TVL matters.
But I don't think TVL tells the whole story.
Value tells you what's sitting there.
Transfer volume tells you what's moving.
And movement matters.

And that's where I think things get much more interesting.
Five RWA projects I would keep on my CT radar
1. Ondo
Ondo is one of the clearest names in the tokenized-asset conversation.
2. Securitize
Securitize is another major piece of the institutional tokenization infrastructure.
3. Maple
Maple is particularly interesting because of its focus on credit.
4. Centrifuge
Centrifuge is another name I would keep an eye on.
5. reserveprotocol
Reserve is slightly different from the other names on this list, and that's exactly why I think it's worth watching.
The RWA trade is bigger than buying an โ€œRWA tokenโ€
This is probably the biggest thing I took away while researching the sector.
And perhaps most importantly:
Who makes those assets useful once they are on-chain?
Those are the businesses and protocols I think are worth watching.
Because if tokenization really does become a major part of global finance, the biggest winners may be the infrastructure providers rather than the assets themselves.
And this is why I'm paying attention to Real World Assets now
RWA_xyz currently puts distributed tokenized asset value at roughly $38.16B, while represented assets push the broader figure much higher.
That's still tiny compared with traditional financial markets.
But that's also the opportunity.
We aren't looking at a market that has already captured the world's financial assets.
We're watching the infrastructure being built before that happens.
Crypto spent the last cycle proving that money could move globally on-chain.
The next phase could be about something much bigger:
bringing the assets that generate that money on-chain too.
And if that happens at scale, RWA won't just be another crypto narrative.
It could become one of the main bridges between TradFi and DeFi.

RWAs are getting a lot of attention lately. But Injective has been working on the trading side of this way before it became a hot topic. Back in 2018, the idea was to build an exchange with onchain orderbooks, batch auctions and protection against front-running. The RWA narrative came much later. When mainnet launched in 2021, orderbooks, derivatives, oracles and an insurance fund were already part of the picture. And honestly, I think this is an important detail. Putting an asset onchain is one thing. Building a market where people can actually trade it is another. Then came Volan in January 2024, bringing the native RWA module to Injective. One feature I find particularly interesting is permissioned assets. Issuers can control who holds and transfers them. Maybe not the most exciting thing to post about, but it's pretty important when you're dealing with regulated assets. Since then, we've seen Altaris, Nivara, oracle improvements and iAssets covering stocks, commodities and FX through derivatives. Personally, I'd keep an eye on the oracles. Everything looks good when prices are flowing as expected. What matters is how the system handles things when markets get messy. Native EVM arrived in late 2025, opening the door for Solidity developers to build on Injective using tools they already know. As an Injective ambassador, I'm obviously bullish on the ecosystem. But what interests me most now is seeing what developers actually do with all this infrastructure. There's a lot to build here. #RWA $INJ {spot}(INJUSDT)
