🚨SCROLL IS THE WORST CRYPTO INVESTMENT IN HISTORY
In the past, it was praised by Vitalik and had a valuation of 1.8 billion USD.
Scroll - the first project to appear on Binance's Pre-market, one of the Layer 2s that was expected to compete with zkSync and Starknet.
🔎According to analysis from L2BEAT, in just 6 days (from 31/03 to 05/04), the $Scroll team has significantly increased network fees by manually adjusting through a multisig wallet, pushing the L1 data fee ratio up to 1,280 times the original.
- Consequence: 139,000 transactions were affected
- Users had to pay over 50,000 USD for transactions that should have only cost a mere 280 USD.
👉This is a horrific tax burden placed on users right when major partners like Etherfi have just left.
❌The clearest sign of distress is that Scroll has quietly stopped using Etherscan services for its explorer page.
The fact that a project would cut off the most basic lookup tool just to save $1M-$5M in maintenance fees is the clearest evidence that: Scroll's vault is empty.
❌As of now:
- TVL (Total Value Locked): Has evaporated 96% from its peak, currently only around ~24 million USD.
- The actual market cap is now only 8 million USD – which is a 225 times reduction in value.
