It’s time to put a stop to these “paper” merchants on P2P. Yesterday, I tried to buy some USDT, and the experience was almost comical. As soon as I entered the chat, the guy sent me someone else’s ID, name, and account number in writing. My response was clear and concise: “I’m not transferring money to any account that isn’t registered under your verified profile.” The unbelievable part came next: when I checked his bank details on the platform, all I found was a string of “7777777s.” Zero transparency. But sure enough, his profile had practically a manifesto of demands worthy of a central bank, including the classic: “Transfers from third-party accounts are strictly prohibited.” Audacity at its finest: gold-standard demands for the buyer, but dummy details for the seller. Note: I’m not naming names or posting screenshots, so I’m not accusing anyone of fraud, just of seriously poor practice. That said, if you recognize yourself in this and start spreading lies here, I’ll post the screenshots to expose the whole act. P.S. Fortunately, this is the exception, not the rule. The vast majority of merchants on Binance P2P are professional, honest, and extremely efficient. #P2P #BinanceP2P

I've been hearing a lot about P2P transactions in Vietnam leading to bank accounts being frozen. It's unclear what's really going on, but it's causing quite a bit of concern. I don't trade P2P often, but I've never had any issues; even unlocking my account or transferring money has gone quickly. My friends have had the same experience. Could I just be lucky? #P2P

Over the past few days, there have been many cases of people cashing out from USDT to VND via P2P and having their accounts frozen by major banks. The banks say the accounts were frozen because they had transactions with accounts involved in money laundering. I wonder if this is because OTC merchants are creating content or something. If you don't urgently need VND right now, just leave your funds on the exchange and put them in Earn to maximize your returns, then wait until a Vietnamese exchange launches before cashing out. If you urgently need the money, I think you should receive it in a secondary bank account and withdraw all the money already in that account beforehand. In the worst case, only the amount you cashed out from the exchange will be frozen, and it could take 6 months to a year of providing explanations before you might be able to get the money back. Transferring it to a secondary account like this won't affect your main account. When trading with P2P merchants, I think it's less risky to trade with diamond-tier accounts whose account names match the account holders' real names. Wishing you all the best of luck. #p2p #warning $BNB

Why do we send photos of our ID or selfies with it to verify a P2P transaction? Binance should start regulating P2P. The significant risk users face when they have to send photos of their ID is imminent. I understand that they need to protect themselves from scams, but who protects the user? I think they can verify that you were indeed the one who made the payment simply using the account number. On top of that, most banks already notify you of the FIRST AND LAST NAME of the person who sent the money. That’s why I’m happy that it’s now possible to fund your Binance account directly with bolivars. #p2p #venezuela #usdt #scam $USDT

A Bs. 44.19 spread: rushing costs more than the rateAn uncomfortable fact: today, P2P opens with a spread of Bs. 44.19 (4.52%) and a 15.88% premium over the BCV rate, which stands at Bs. 881.07. Buying $USDT costs you Bs. 1,021.00; selling it gets you Bs. 976.81. With that difference staring you in the face, the temptation to rush in and close the deal quickly is enormous. And that’s exactly where security breaks down. 🔍 Today at a glance Just 259 active offers across the entire market. That number matters more than it seems: when there are fewer counterparties, people grab the first offer they see without checking the seller’s reputation, verifying the account holder’s name, or reading the fine print of the payment method. And with bolivar payments via Pago Móvil recently enabled on Binance, the number of new users has grown considerably, along with the number of profiles with no track record offering tempting rates.

Russia’s central bank makes a major move: 20 million people hold 3.7 trillion rubles in crypto, and starting in 2027, everyone has to hand over the “keys”! 🔑😂 The Russian central bank just updated its guidelines, and the entire Russian-speaking crypto community is in an uproar: starting July 1, 2027, direct crypto trades between individuals (P2P) will be considered a violation. Even harsher, you won’t be allowed to move crypto from a compliant account into your own wallet—Ledger, MetaMask, none of them. From now on, if you want to trade crypto, you can only go through licensed brokers and government-run channels like Sberbank and VTB. They’ve also added a “new investor protection package”: ordinary investors have to pass a test before buying crypto, and then they can buy no more than 300,000 rubles’ worth a year (less than $4,000). They’re also limited to BTC, ETH, and USDT. The official line is that this is to protect investors and prevent money laundering. But Samson Mow of Jan3 poured cold water on that idea: P2P is like a weed. A ban can squeeze compliant exchanges, but it can’t stop on-chain transfers—wallets don’t recognize national borders. I know exactly where I stand: this ban can control what happens “in the open,” but not what happens “in the shadows.” Its real damage won’t come from enforcement, but from liquidity—20 million people’s buying power will be funneled into a handful of banks, draining the over-the-counter market of depth. The biggest enemy of “decentralization” has never been hackers. It’s the official stamp. That said, the list of approved coins—BTC, ETH, and USDT—doesn’t miss a beat. The officials have decent taste. On the very first day, July 1, 2027, will Sberbank’s app get so swamped that it crashes?
