DoubleZero (2Z) is a high-performance global network specifically designed for blockchain and other distributed systems. It constructs ultra-low latency communication channels through independently contributed fiber links and edge filtering hardware, providing validators, protocols, and users with a faster and fairer network experience. The 2Z token serves as the core driving force of the network, not only used to access high-quality network resources but also to incentivize contributors to provide high-performance bandwidth, helping the blockchain ecosystem break through the bottleneck of the public internet. The project initially focused on Solana validators, providing them with high-performance network support. As the network expands, DoubleZero will provide low-latency, high-bandwidth infrastructure for more blockchain ecosystems, empowering a wide range of decentralized application scenarios, including on-chain transactions, real-time oracles, and re-staking.
Facing several pain points, 2Z's solutions are as follows:
1. High latency and jitter: Decentralized communication is limited by latency and instability.
2. Dependency on the public internet: Node connections rely on congested public infrastructure, leading to inefficiency.
3. Lack of incentive mechanisms: High-quality bandwidth contributors are not adequately rewarded.
4. Proliferation of spam transactions: Duplicate and low-value transactions crowd out network resources.
DoubleZero addresses these issues through an innovative dual-ring network architecture, introducing dedicated fiber links and an on-chain control plane to create deterministic low-latency routing, effectively solving the aforementioned problems. Contributors receive 2Z token rewards for providing high-quality bandwidth and services, incentivizing continuous optimization of network performance. This can be considered a closed-loop project.
The 2Z token is the core of the DoubleZero ecosystem, with multiple utilities, such as users paying for network resource fees using 2Z tokens, supporting exchanges with Solana (and future expansions to more chains) native tokens; network contributors receiving 2Z token rewards based on fiber link and service performance; additionally, contributors can stake 2Z tokens to enhance network security, and token holders can delegate staking to resource providers to share profits.
In terms of background, DoubleZero has completed four rounds of token sales totaling $50 million, with the latest fully diluted valuation reaching $750 million. The project is relatively well-funded, and it remains to be seen when it will start to pump 😁
