New York’s attorney general is asking a court for $1.37 billion: NovaTech’s founders fled, but they still have to answer for the money. On October 22, New York Attorney General James announced that four NovaTech promoters had reached a settlement, agreeing to pay nearly $5.98 million in total and accept lifetime bans from the securities, commodities, and crypto industries. That same day, prosecutors filed another motion asking the court to order founders Cynthia and Eddy Petion to pay about $1.37 billion: $1.1345 billion in principal and $232.5 million in interest. Prosecutors’ records show that from August 2019 to May 2023, of the $1.1605 billion in crypto deposited by investors, only $25.99 million was sent to the trading platform B2Broker—and it lost $18.19 million. At least $134.5 million went into the founders’ own wallets. I think the most disturbing thing about this case isn’t the amount, but that almost none of the money was ever traded: the so-called 2% to 4% weekly returns were basically paid to earlier investors with money from new ones. I see this case as a sign of regulators pursuing fugitives, not as a signal that victims will get their money back: the founders have fled the U.S., and how much they’ll be ordered to pay—and how much will actually be recovered—are both unknown. If the court later orders them to pay the full amount, or a substantial amount of assets is recovered, this assessment will no longer hold. What do you think will happen with these astronomical claims against founders who fled—will most of the money be recovered, or will the court just hand down a big number that looks good on paper? $BTC $ETH $SOL #NovaTech #CryptoRegulation

HSBC has put a stablecoin into the everyday wallets of 3.3 million people in Hong Kong. This is what it looks like when a big bank gets involved. What happened: HSBC announced today that its first Hong Kong dollar stablecoin, RedCoin (RCHKD), will begin rolling out on PayMe today. PayMe users don’t need to open a new account or maintain a minimum balance. They can activate a wallet in the app to transfer money and pay directly at more than 100,000 merchants. Each coin is pegged at HK$1. HSBC was one of the first stablecoin license holders selected by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority in April this year. What I think: People have been talking about US dollar stablecoins for years. This time, a Hong Kong dollar stablecoin is genuinely entering everyday payments—not just making headlines as a pilot project. Big banks aren’t explaining the concept to retail investors; they’re putting the coin in an app everyone already uses. That’s more convincing than ten research reports. What I’ll do: I’ll be watching to see whether it gets integrated into HSBC’s mobile banking app and offers access to tokenized money market funds before the end of the year. If there’s still no sign of that by year-end, this will have been nothing more than an upgrade to the payment feature. 👀 Last night’s market action was more exciting than a roller coaster Last night, $BTC briefly touched $84,800, then fell back below $82,000 in about 6 hours, giving back about $3,000 all at once — for those who just chased in, is your seat belt fastened? 📌 This morning’s snapshot (data as of 7:08 this morning, TradingView): 🔹 $BTC 81,273 dollars, down 3.53% in 24h 🔹 $ETH 2,383 dollars, down 3.87% in 24h 🔹 $SOL 103.29 dollars, down 3.58% in 24h BNB didn’t escape either, $730.62, down 2.15% in 24h 💡 In other words: this wasn’t a slow grind lower — it was a straight ride on a “drop tower” after the surge. The good news that spot ETFs saw over $1 billion in net inflows over three days still couldn’t withstand this pullback. In the past 24 hours, total liquidations across the network reached $429 million, with 102,803 people liquidated, and long positions made up the majority. My view is simple: short-term bearish. Whether $81,000 can hold is the key; if it fails, the next stop is $80,000. Only by getting back above $82,500 can the bleeding be considered stopped. 👀 Crypto takes the president to court—this plot is wilder than anything on TV Here’s the story: A Circle shareholder has sued Trump and his family’s World Liberty Financial in federal court in Washington, alleging that two transactions linked to the UAE violated the Constitution’s “Foreign Emoluments Clause”—in plain English, government officials can’t accept benefits from foreign governments without Congress’s approval. The two transactions described in the complaint (these are still allegations, not established facts): First: In January 2025, before the inauguration, an entity backed by Sheikh Tahnoon bought a 49% stake in World Liberty for $500 million. Second: A UAE government-linked fund spent another $2 billion on World Liberty’s USD1 stablecoin. The complaint alleges this boosted the value of related holdings and expanded the stablecoin’s circulation. Who’s the plaintiff? Joel Greenberg, a former Circle software engineer who owns around 10,000 shares of Circle stock. He filed this shareholder derivative lawsuit on Circle’s behalf. What does he want? To recover the money involved, disclose other foreign crypto-related payments, and obtain additional damages (the amount hasn’t been specified). Where things stand: The White House, World Liberty, and Circle have yet to comment. World Liberty previously said Trump was not involved in the equity transaction and does not currently hold a position at the company. Circle told CNBC that it did not initiate, authorize, or participate in the lawsuit. To be fair, regardless of how the court ultimately rules, lawsuits that aim to “set the accounts straight and disclose the payments” aren’t a bad thing for the industry in the long run. Clearer rules make for a more reassuring environment for everyone. How do you think this lawsuit will end? A settlement, dismissal, or will they actually recover the money? $BTC $ETH $SOL #WorldLiberty Source: PANews, citing a POLITICO report on October 22; CNBC also covered the story. Put today’s market action in a nutshell: everything got hit, and nothing was spared. $BTC is now around $81,900, down 1.9% on the day. It was still hovering above $84,300 this morning, then slid straight down in the afternoon. The drag didn’t come just from crypto: Asian-Pacific stock markets fell across the board today. The CSI 300 has dropped 20% from its June high, entering bear-market territory; stocks in Japan, South Korea, and Hong Kong were all down around 3%; oil prices surged past $100, and the fear index jumped 10% in one go. It’s hard for crypto to stay untouched in this kind of environment. $ETH is around $2,407, down 2.2%—a little weaker than Bitcoin. After climbing to around $2,510 a couple of days ago, it was pushed back down; today it slipped further along with the market. $SOL is around $104, down 2.6%, the biggest drop among the three today. It’s not all bad news, though—there’s not much, but what there is counts: spot Bitcoin ETFs took in over $1 billion across three days. Institutions are still buying, just not at the pace seen during the big rallies of the past. And over the past seven days, all three have actually posted modest gains, so today looks more like a pullback than a trend reversal. There’s also a rate-setting meeting on October 28; the market will probably keep treading water until that uncertainty is out of the way. So my view is simple: short-term outlook is bearish. First, watch whether the 82,000 level holds. If it does, the market can keep grinding along; if not, it’ll have to find another step down. Don’t rush to buy the dip—wait for signs of stability before making a move. #币安神算子 {future}(BTCUSDT) {future}(ETHUSDT) {future}(SOLUSDT)

👀 Bitcoin surged straight to 84,000—is it really holding this time, or is this another fakeout? Data as of 7:08 this morning (TradingView): 🔹 $BTC $84,256, 24h +1.61% — The 83,500 level that had capped it over the past couple of days is now firmly beneath its feet. The next targets above are 84,800–85,000, with 83,500 as the first line of defense below. 🔹 $ETH $2,478.5, 24h +1.20% — It has finally held above 2,450 and is climbing alongside Bitcoin. The first target above is 2,526. 🔹 $SOL $107.08, 24h +0.59% — The slowest riser among the major coins, but also the steadiest. Bottom line: bullish bias. As long as Bitcoin stays above 83,500, 85,000 is in view. One note of caution: the Fed’s rate decision is coming up on October 27–28 next week, and volatility could suddenly pick up—don’t get carried away chasing the rally. Binance Fortune Teller had only just launched, and the big players were already going so hard that the official team had to step in 😂 The event had barely started this morning, and the top player had already racked up 250,000 points. The runner-up couldn’t even see their taillights—they were more than 90,000 points behind. By evening, the official team had taken down the BTC 5-minute price prediction game. We all know why: someone had figured out how to farm points and was doing it way too aggressively, so the team had to intervene. But here’s the million-dollar question: if you really have a strategy with such a high expected value, why bother farming points? Wouldn’t you make more, faster, by putting real money on the line? Maybe I just don’t understand how the big players think. There’s another mystery, too: Toast Boss, who’s first on the weekly leaderboard, has 980,000 points listed under profit and loss, but only 160,000 points on the overall leaderboard. The second-place player’s numbers don’t match either. Binance, did you get the leaderboard math wrong? 😅$BTC $ETH $ZEC #BinanceFortuneTeller

BTC has finally climbed above 84,000 for the first time since October 6. It’s currently at $84,545, up 2.15% over 24 hours, with a high of $84,899 (OKX live price). Yesterday’s close was $84,540—the first close above 84,000 since October 6—and BTC also moved back above the 20-day moving average (83,158). The catalysts were earnings: SpaceX and Super Micro beat expectations, and South Korea’s Kospi rose 3.29%. The two companies are also discussing a merger; their combined balance sheet would hold more than 30,000 BTC. Fund flows are supportive too: ETFs saw net inflows of $526.6 million on October 19, followed by another $23.2 million on Tuesday. Holdings are up just 4%—price is leading, while leverage hasn’t caught up. I don’t think this is just an emotional rebound: price is leading, ETF flows are returning, and earnings are boosting risk appetite. All three signals are aligned. 👀 Solana made a big move tonight: its consensus has been upgraded Solana announced it, and Anza confirmed: Alpenglow is going live on mainnet tonight at around 10:00 p.m. Beijing time, replacing TowerBFT, which has been in use since March 2020. Put simply, finality is the point when a transaction is completely settled and can no longer be changed. Here are three highlights: ⚡️ Official target: cut finality from 12.8 seconds to around 150 milliseconds—settled in the blink of an eye 🗳️ The voting process has changed: validators send weighted votes directly to one another and aggregate them into certificates, instead of recording votes in blocks and taking up space 💰 Validator costs are also lower: voting fees have gone from around 2 SOL per day to 0.8 SOL per epoch (about 1 day) The background is impressive, too: this is proposal SIMD-0236. It received 98% approval in a governance vote last September, and took 18 months to go from white paper to mainnet. 👀 Solana made a big move tonight: its consensus has been upgraded

Solana announced it, and Anza confirmed: Alpenglow is going live on mainnet tonight at around 10:00 p.m. Beijing time, replacing TowerBFT, which has been in use since March 2020.
Put simply, finality is the point when a transaction is completely settled and can no longer be changed.

Here are three highlights:
⚡️ Official target: cut finality from 12.8 seconds to around 150 milliseconds—settled in the blink of an eye
🗳️ The voting process has changed: validators send weighted votes directly to one another and aggregate them into certificates, instead of recording votes in blocks and taking up space
💰 Validator costs are also lower: voting fees have gone from around 2 SOL per day to 0.8 SOL per epoch (about 1 day)

The background is impressive, too: this is proposal SIMD-0236. It received 98% approval in a governance vote last September, and took 18 months to go from white paper to mainnet. This launch brings Votor (the voting component) first; Rotor (the block-propagation component) will come later, with no date announced yet.

📌Stablecoins in the U.S. finally have a proper rulebook The U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) announced the final rules for the GENIUS Act today. In plain English: stablecoins are no longer the Wild West. Issuers will have to follow bank-level rules for issuing coins, managing funds, and handling redemptions. There are 4 key takeaways, and each one matters: First, rewards are no longer presumed guilty. The test in the February proposal that presumed rewards offered by affiliates were in violation has been removed. Existing reward programs won't automatically be deemed noncompliant. The OCC says it will assess them case by case—good news for the reward programs run by Coinbase, PayPal, and Kraken. Second, redemptions are still due within 2 business days. The proposal's rule that automatically extended the period by 7 days if redemptions exceeded 10% in a single day has been scrapped. Instead, issuers must notify the OCC within 24 hours, and any extension must be requested and approved by the OCC. Third, the capital requirement is set at $5 million. Issuers must maintain a minimum of $5 million in capital, and the same standard will apply after 3 years—there's no loosening of the rules once they graduate. Fourth, the effective date is set: January 18, 2027. Anti-money laundering and sanctions details weren't included this time; the Treasury Department will issue separate rules, and the OCC will announce separately when applications open. One note of caution: there still isn't a bright-line standard for what counts as compliant rewards, so the case-by-case process will likely continue for a while. The bearish case for $CL , in a nutshell: prices are rising on a war premium, but the physical market is telling a different story— inventories are surging, demand forecasts are being cut, and tankers are still operating normally. The evidence, piece by piece: US crude inventories surged by 17.4 million barrels last week—the biggest increase in three years and the second-largest on record. Imports hit their highest level since November 2024. If oil were genuinely scarce, inventories wouldn’t be building like this. Gasoline inventories are also rising, as are stocks at the Cushing delivery hub—the demand side is weak. There’s a lot of saber-rattling over the Strait of Hormuz, but the US military escorted more than 100 million barrels of crude through the strait last week. Physical flows haven’t stopped. Trump himself said the US “completely controls Hormuz,” while Pakistan said the US-Iran memorandum could be extended. Any sign of progress at the negotiating table could quickly erase this premium. OPEC and the IEA have both lowered their forecasts for demand growth this year, and Chinese consumption is contracting. A Russian diesel deal is also moving forward. Novak said the contracts had been signed and cargoes would reach the US market in 15–20 days—that’s real additional supply. The technical picture is even clearer: prices climbed from 87 to 106.75 in a month, and short-term indicators are all overbought. Last week, a push to 103.7 was knocked back to 98, with profit-taking repeatedly weighing on the 98–99 range. After such a rapid rally, without fundamentals to sustain it, a pullback is normal. Downside targets: first the 20-day moving average at 93.5; if that breaks, the 50-day moving average at 91.8; below that, the area around 87, where this rally began. {future}(CLUSDT) {future}(BTCUSDT) {future}(ETHUSDT)

📌 BlackRock did something big yesterday: IBIT pulled in $665 million in a single day In plain English: On October 19, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw net inflows of $526.6 million (Farside data), with BlackRock’s IBIT alone bringing in $665 million—its biggest day since October 2025. 🔹 What does that mean? Wall Street’s money is back After two straight weeks of outflows, institutional money made its first major return. Bitcoin was bought all the way back from a low of $81,100 to around $83,000. 👀 Tokenized U.S. stocks get a reality check: Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs and others say “no” Yesterday (10-19), OKXICE, a tokenized stock platform jointly launched by OKX and NYSE parent company ICE, updated its public notice. Seven new companies—Microsoft, Google parent Alphabet, Goldman Sachs, Qualcomm, Caterpillar, McDonald’s, and Western Digital—have officially objected to their own stocks being tokenized and listed for trading. Including Broadcom, Verizon, CoreWeave and others from before, the list of objectors has grown from 9 to 16. In other words: OKXICE wants to enable 24/7 trading of “blockchain versions of U.S. stocks,” settled in stablecoins and pegged 1:1 to the underlying shares. But SEC rules give issuers veto power: if they say no, the stocks can’t be listed. My take: the fact that these giants are collectively hitting the brakes shows that the biggest hurdle for bringing U.S. stocks on-chain isn’t technology—it’s getting issuers on board. There’s good news, too: 47 of the 62 companies under consideration haven’t objected, so the platform can still launch. Do you think Microsoft and Goldman Sachs are waiting to see how things play out, or are they really not interested in on-chain trading? 👇 $BTC $ETH $SOL For reference only; this is not investment advice

🇨🇭The Swiss made the first move this time: FINMA officially approves Switzerland’s first Bitcoin ETF In other words: Switzerland’s financial regulator FINMA made history today (10-20), approving the first domestically based Bitcoin ETF in Switzerland that retail investors can buy. What makes this such a big deal? Three things: 1️⃣ Switzerland already had Bitcoin products. ETPs have been listed on SIX for years. But ETPs are debt securities, not funds. ⚡️ Rate-hike expectations have fizzled, but Bitcoin is still stuck below its moving averages Live price at 7:12 this morning (TradingView): 📌 $BTC $81,926, 24h +0.37% — Price is still below the 10-day MA at $82,223. Daily RSI is 48.37, neutral but somewhat stuck. It’s been grinding between $81,650 and $83,500 recently. Two major hurdles overhead: the 10-day MA at $82,223 and the 20-day MA at $82,505. Below, watch $81,000 first, then the October low at $79,500. 📌 $ETH $2,402.6, 24h +0.58% — The daily technical picture is all sell signals, with a weak RSI of 37.8. Spot ETFs have seen net outflows for a third consecutive week (weekly outflows of $320 million; October outflows have totaled nearly $955 million, the highest monthly figure this year; SoSoValue data, reported by Cointelegraph on 10-19). The $2,450 resistance overhead is a heavy brick wall. First support to watch: $2,380–$2,400. 📌 $SOL $104.89, 24h +1.26% — The strongest performer among the major coins today, holding above $104. Support is at $103.4; look to $106.2 above. 🔹 BNB $731.17, 24h +1.73% — Last night’s 37th burn destroyed 1.646 million tokens (about $1.197 billion), bringing some heat. $719 is the floor; $733–$740 is the ceiling. 🔹 APT $0.7653, 24h −0.74% — The only one in the red today. Buyers are defending around $0.7536, with $0.79 as the ceiling overhead. 💡 Macro: Barron’s cited LSEG data early this morning showing that the probability of a rate hike at the October 28 meeting has fallen to just 12%. Cooling rate-hike expectations are theoretically positive for risk assets. But the Fed is now in its quiet period (the FOMC decision comes out at 2:00 a.m. on 10-29), so the news calendar is basically empty this week. The market will have to find its way up on technicals alone. Bottom line: Until $BTC gets above $82,500, any rebound is just an oversold bounce, not a reversal. $81,000 is the line in the sand; lose it and price could test $79,500. $ETH is weaker still—don’t rush in. 🤖 Binance just made a big move: chat with AI and let it write your trading strategies Here’s the news: Binance officially launched AI Pro last night (10-19)—just describe what you want in plain language, and it can generate executable automated trading strategies. Spot and USDS-M futures are both supported. The free plan gives you 250,000 credits per month and includes DeepSeek; the paid plan costs 19.99 USDC per month and bumps your allowance up to 10 million. In other words: Before, if you wanted to try quantitative trading, you either had to write your own code or pay for someone else’s strategy. Now you can say, “Buy in batches when it drops, and take profit at a 3% rebound,” and AI will turn it straight into code. You can even practice with a paper-trading account for free. Here’s what’s appealing: ① Even if you can’t code, you can be a “strategy guru”—the barrier to entry is practically on the floor. ② You have to manually approve live trading, and your funds stay in a separate sub-account. AI does the work but can’t touch your money—better than many signal-selling gurus. ③ Run up to 10 strategies at once, with market monitoring, daily reports, and alerts all included. One small caveat: the initial launch doesn’t include historical backtesting (you can only test with paper trading), so think carefully before approving live trading. JPMorgan Chase announced that its institutional deposit token, JPM Coin (JPMD), is now live on the $ETH mainnet.

It’s not a stablecoin—it’s real dollars on a bank’s ledger, brought on-chain at a 1:1 ratio:

📌 24/7 transfers in seconds, without bank hours getting in the way
📌 Ethereum is the second public blockchain; JPMD first went live on Base last November, and now the two networks can transfer funds between each other
📌 The Kinexys platform has processed over $4 trillion in cumulative transactions, with a daily average of $7 billion

In plain English: even “America’s largest bank” is using public blockchains as a settlement layer.

And they’ve been laying the groundwork for a while: JPMorgan launched two tokenized money market funds on Ethereum last December and this May. JPMD is there to serve as the “cash leg” for settlement.

Retail investors can’t access it for now—it’s only available to vetted institutional clients.

After $BTC $SOL , could this be Ethereum’s fastest wave of institutional money yet? Which big bank will be next to move dollars on-chain? Drop your bet in the comments 👇
