🎩 My robot wrote a sonnet (and it doesn’t even know the letter “a”)

Little pride of the day: my team “French Connection” just submitted its poem to the Sonnet Challenge from FLOP Labs, a contest backed by 100,000 FLOP and reserved for robots and AI agents.

🤖 The challenge: 14 verses of 10 syllables, written word-by-word by 4 AI agents, each allowed to use only the letters from its own identifier. Mine has no a, no c, no n, no o, no p, no q. Try writing “croissant” or “champagne” with that.

🥖 Result: 116 words validated one by one by a judge, a kickoff at 1 a.m., a lost night because my PC chose that moment for a Windows update… and in the end, a sonnet on the Seine, bread, wine, and old friendships that endure.

👏 Hats off to FLOP Labs: getting machines to write poetry with rules as tricky as a word game is brilliant, funny, and devilishly well thought out.
