ASTER is still trading close to 0.61 even after the project keeps using almost all daily platform fees to buy back its own token. The idea behind this plan is simple. More buying should help reduce supply and support the price over time.
Since late June the project has bought back more than 5.3 million ASTER. The same amount has also been removed from reserves. This is an important step because it reduces future selling pressure. Even so the total amount bought back is still very small when compared with the current supply that is already in the market.
That is one reason why the price has not reacted in a big way yet. The market still needs stronger demand from buyers before the effect of the buyback becomes more visible.
Trading activity also shows that buyers are still careful. Volume is much lower than it was after the tokenomics update. This means fewer people are joining the market even though the project continues buying its own token every day.
Money flow has also stayed weak for most of July. This tells us that selling pressure is still stronger than buying pressure. As long as this continues the price may find it difficult to move much higher.
Right now the area around 0.59 and 0.60 is an important support level. If buyers can defend this area then the market could try another move higher. If not the price could test lower levels again.
On the upside ASTER needs to move above 0.62 and then continue toward 0.66. A move above that level would be a stronger sign that the buyback is finally creating real market demand instead of only balancing existing selling.
The buyback plan is reducing supply and shows a long term commitment from the project. However price does not move because of supply alone. Strong demand and active buyers are also needed. Until that happens ASTER may continue moving in a narrow range while traders wait for the next clear signal.

ASTER's recent price action has repeatedly struggled to establish sustained momentum above the mid-$0.60s. Recent analysis identified $0.62 as an important nearby support area and $0.65 as an early resistance zone.
A convincing move above resistance with rising volume would be much more meaningful than a short-lived spike.
Until then, patience may be the name of the game.
