#Bitcoin   maximalists are now spreading fake news that "Taiwan made $BTC legal tender" in an effort to artificially pump prices based on false narratives.

Ignore the noise. The real news is ➜ Taiwan legislators have proposed a new bill that would require crypto exchanges and platforms to apply for a permit and crack down on money laundering and fraud.

This bill makes absolutely no mention of "Bitcoin" or "legal tender"; instead, it focuses on regulating and cracking down on the industry.

Also, no law has been passed, and the bill isn't even expected to be discussed in Taiwan's parliament until 2024. It's simply a discussion.
