🔥 What Happened?
- 💸 6.313 trillion won in total losses across approximately 546,000 investor accounts.
- 📉 2.324 trillion won came from realized trading losses.
- ⚠️ 3.989 trillion won came from unrealized losses on existing holdings.
- 👴 Investors aged 70 and above lost an average of nearly 30 million won per account — around 2.6 times the overall average.
These products track twice the daily price movements of individual stocks, including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, amplifying both potential gains and losses.
💡 Why It Matters
Leverage can turn a small market move into a much larger loss. It also exposes traders to volatility and the effects of daily compounding.
