A new centralized laundering service, FreedomXMR ($FXMR), reportedly emerged on Hyperliquid Core in August 2026.

According to an on-chain investigation, more than 87% of its inflow volume is linked to suspected illicit activity.

🔎 Key Findings
• $20M+ in inflows reportedly traced to ransomware, exploits, malware, and social engineering incidents.
• More than $10K inflows were manually reviewed.
• Named incidents include DCENT Wallet, Fetch.ai, Axelar, and Gamdom.
• The service reportedly received XMR liquidity from KuCoin, with 3,000+ deposits identified.
• The FXMR ticker was reportedly acquired through an HL auction for 518.28 HYPE (~$28K).

⚠️ These findings raise serious questions about illicit fund flows and the potential misuse of permissionless infrastructure.
