🇪🇺 Elon told a G20 room, to their faces today, that in the EU new tech is treated as illegal until someone says otherwise, and that this just makes progress crawl.
He was on a screen in Chapel Hill, with EU ministers sitting there.
Same fight he has been in since Brussels hit X with a €120M fine and kept stacking rules on AI, cars, and data.
Europe writes the rulebook first and wonders later why the next thing gets built somewhere else.
Trump on Truth Social: “The United States is, as we speak, striking Iranian targets near the Strait of Hormuz. The strikes are large and powerful, and in retaliation for the Iranians’ failed attempt at adding sea mines to the Strait, which currently has no mines (They have been completely removed or detonated!), and the Iranians shooting eight missiles, all successfully knocked down, at our Military Base in Jordan.
If the failed Nation of Iran retaliates for this very justified attack, they will be hit again at a much harder and higher level, but it will not be the biggest attack of them all, that is waiting in the wings and, when it is over, there will be very little left of the Islamic Republic of Iran!”
🇺🇸 Trump is threatening far heavier strikes on Iran if Tehran responds to the latest U.S. attack wave.
“If they retaliate, they’ll be hit much harder. And if they do it again, they’ll be no longer.”
Trump also claims Iran attempted to rebuild its radar and air-defense capability, but the U.S. waited until the radar was nearly finished before destroying it.
On diplomacy, he sounds finished:
“I think an agreement with them isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. We gave them a lot of chances.”
Iran, meanwhile, is promising precisely the retaliation Trump is warning against. The escalation ladder is getting remarkably short.
🇮🇷🇺🇸🇴🇲 These are the sites being named in today’s U.S. wave:
-Bandar Abbas: blasts reported, plus a U.S. official cited on strikes there -Qeshm: several explosions in the local reports, including around Masan -Chabahar: Iranian official said projectiles hit the city, along with Konarak -Jask: in the same south-coast blast pile -Sirik: same coastal roundup, thinner than the first 3 -Minab: on the map, still the softest confirmation of the 6
CENTCOM only said IRGC targets. All 6 sit on the Hormuz-Oman belt
🇺🇸 Trump says U.S. forces are “as we speak” striking Iranian targets near the Strait of Hormuz, in retaliation for attempted sea-mining operations and Iran’s missile attacks on U.S. positions in Jordan.
Trump then issued one of his starkest threats yet:
“If the failed Nation of Iran retaliates, they will be hit again at a much harder and higher level.”
He added that when the fighting is over, “there will be very little left of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
🇮🇷🇺🇸 CENTCOM has now officially confirmed the new attack wave, saying U.S. forces began striking IRGC targets inside Iran
According to CENTCOM, the strikes are retaliation for recent attempted IRGC attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and U.S. service members in the region.
This follows the earlier U.S. strike on Larak Island and Iran’s retaliatory missile attacks on U.S. bases in Jordan.
Trump had subsequently promised to hit Iran “hard.”
