📌 What happened: Ledger devices sold by CryptoBilis (a Southeast Asian reseller) contained a hidden cellular implant. It captured the 24-word seed from the screen and sent it to attackers.
💰 Loss: ~$86–93M, 300+ wallets (third-party estimates)
✅ The Genuine Check passed because it only verifies the Secure Element.
🌍 Ledger: confirmed cases are limited to CryptoBilis. Other reports are unverified.
🛡️ What you should do:
• Have a CryptoBilis device? Don’t set it up. If you’re already using it, move your funds to a new device with a new seed.
