ใIf AVAX falls below 10, do you think itโs an opportunity or a trap?ใ
Honestly, when I saw this premise, I was momentarily stunned.
Not because of the priceโtruthfully, 10 and 11 dollars are both basically floor prices for AVAX. From its ATH, itโs down 92%. That figure is more brutal than most of the mainstream coins. In the 2017 time, when I got rug-pulled, I used that same coping mechanism to comfort myself: โItโs already down this muchโwhere else can it go?โ Guess what happened? I witnessed what people mean by โthereโs another basement under the floor.โ
Thatโs exactly the state AVAX is in right now.
Over the past 7 days itโs up 6.5%, volume has expanded unusually, the Fear & Greed Index is 74, and market sentiment is quite euphoric. But the problem isโ
**When you bring this narrative down to reality, what exactly is driving it?**
I looked through recent news and didnโt see anything major that AVAX itself has done. Instead, NEAR has been hacked again, and wallet security has become a hot topic. Also, that batch of public-chain projectsโone after anotherโhas had issues.
Thatโs interesting.
Why is AVAX getting attention at this moment? Has anything about it changed? How is the Avalanche ecosystem doing right now? DeFi TVL, new projects, developer activityโthese are the things that truly determine whether a public chain lives or dies. I dug through for hours, and on the mainstream channels, thereโs very little noise.
Itโs not that thereโs nothingโitโs that **people arenโt really looking at AVAX itself right now**.
What is the market doing? Looking for bargains.
BTC dominance is 58.5%. In this โBTC siphoning liquidityโ kind of market, capital starts drilling into oversold small caps. AVAX, which is down 92% from its ATH, is naturally the place that looks โcheap.โ
But hereโs the catchโ
**โCheapโ and โvaluableโ are two different things.**
Iโve seen far too many projects that were โcheap in priceโ but eventually turned into โvalue equals zero.โ I still havenโt fully figured out AVAXโs tokenomics, its burn mechanism, and the staking yields. A piece of business logic I donโt fully understandโyet I want to bottom-fish just because itโs fallen a lot. Thatโs not investing. Itโs gambling.
So whoโs buying it? I guess there are a few types:
1. Pure speculation capitalโseeing the price is low and wanting to push it up
2. People doing left-side systematic investing, thinking theyโre picking up a bargain
3. Long-term holders who genuinely believe in the ecosystem
The first group is the most dangerousโtheyโre here to cut the grass (rip off liquidity). When volume expands like this, itโs often this group entering.
My own take is: **In this AVAX move, both the opportunity and the risk are unclear**. If you ask me whether you can buy right now, all I can say is, โI donโt know.โ But if you ask me whether I might get restlessโ
My hands are *really* itchy. But the injuries from 2021 taught me: when something looks cheap and you rush in, the โcheapโ ends up being someone elseโnot me.
Whatโs your mindset right now? Do you dare to take this AVAX move?
