FOMC WATCHING The Market Moves Before the Fed Speaks I have noticed one thing around every major FOMC meeting: markets often react to expectations before the actual decision arrives. Traders are not only watching what the Federal Reserve does, they are watching what it might do next. Interest rates remain one of the biggest forces affecting global markets. Higher rates can reduce liquidity and pressure risk assets, while expectations of rate cuts can bring renewed optimism across stocks, crypto, and other markets.
