New ETF Generates Weekly Returns with Bitcoin.

The fund management firm Global X launched the Global X Bitcoin Covered Call ETF (BCCC), a financial product traded on the US stock exchange CBOE BZX that aims to provide indirect exposure to bitcoin through ETP, while generating weekly income through the sale of call options.

Unlike traditional ETFs that buy bitcoin or futures contracts directly (as explained in the Criptopedia, educational section of CriptoNoticias), BCCC employs an active strategy known as covered call.

This involves taking long positions in exchange-traded products that replicate the price of bitcoin and, at the same time, selling call options on part of those holdings. In this way, the fund obtains weekly premiums that are regularly distributed among shareholders.
