The price is falling, yet OI is rising. And both the 15m and 1h contracts are adding positions—based on the data, it looks more like newly opened leveraged short selling pressing in, not just a straightforward long liquidation cascade. The active成交 volume is down 17%; the bid side wasn’t picked up at all. The close also broke below the lows of the last ~20 five-minute candles. In the short term, the structure really is weak.

As for changes in notional, it ranks #3 across the whole pool, and volume has surged to 2.74x—this is a weighty, breakthrough-style selloff, not noise.

But thinking the other way: funding rates are elevated, and leveraged shorts are clustered together. The most comfortable kind of market often doesn’t last. If suddenly there’s a single “pin” style rebound/recovery, be careful—shorts could get squeezed into a liquidation cascade.

Watch the key levels and volume, and wait for confirmation. A pullback-biased idea isn’t wrong, but chasing shorts during this selloff at this spot—well, the positioning isn’t comfortable.

Overall, this doesn’t look like a “bait-and-wait” setup—it’s an unmistakable “step on the gas and go up” pattern. Of course, the 98 OI percentile also means that if there’s a reversal later, the fuel will be especially strong—pay attention to the timing and pacing.
