This book is on top of the list of my favourite books, and it has many reasons for that.
I bought this book only because I wanted to help the bookseller and was not expecting anything special coming out of it, mainly due to the cover design, and didn't even read it for almost a year after I bought it. I confess that I was wrong because I never judge a book by its cover, and this book proves the saying perfectly. After I read it and found out that this book was not popular; I knew it was due to the cover. I recommend it to everyone who is reading this text. I felt every emotion possible while reading it. It made me sad and happy. Made me laugh and cry. Made me hate and love. I am not going to give anything away because I want you to feel every word you read just like I felt. In simple words, this book is an endless rollercoaster ride of emotions and feelings.

And later when I read the book, I was introduced to a great world created by Mr. Harry Turtledove and I fell in love with his writing style also. I read all the books in this series and got all the books by the writer; reviews to all his books coming soon.
This book is one of the best of this series and one of the reasons is the way main characters reach what they are supposed to be in a huge saga and the development took its time but that is how a character must develop in a long story; in simple terms that are not useful here are “coming of age” it doesn’t mean they were kids or early teens reaching adulthood, I used the term to describe what it’s like to read the stories of these characters realizing their full potential or in some cases become strong and able to fight the reality of the world and situation they are in.
This book is long and the series is long as well, I thought of many options and reasons to give it less than perfect points but found nothing; it is long but not boring. On every page, you are thinking a hero or a person that is on the good side is going to get caught or die. You can actually read this book as a standalone novel because the detail is so great that you get the story without even reading the previous four parts but I recommend you read them all. The fourth part was not so great so if you start this book series from the first book, then please don’t stop at the fourth, because in this part you will start to see the results of the fourth part and going to understand why it was slow or not so fast paced (It is not a bad book, I am just comparing it to this book.)

Like a lot of kids and even grownups, I was and am in love with captain Sinbad’s character and watched all the movies that came out with the name “Sinbad” in its title. This book is about captain Sinbad and his adventures but it is a little different than what you read about him before this or up until this point. The writer did a great job of portraying captain Sinbad the way we all love to see him in movies or read about him in the books.
All the characters in this book feel real and you are going to feel for all of them. One of the characters is a frog and I am sure you’ll fall in love with it and feel for it as a best friend and are going to care for it as well. So be ready for the ride of your life with captain Sinbad and get the book to read about this adventure full of action, romance, magicians, magic, curses, sea, a hint of satire and humor.
The story is fast paced and well written, you are going to spend a quality time while reading this book. Easy to read and fun to imagine in the back of your head. It was something new in the way it was written and style felt different than a normal book of this genre. Simply great and exciting read.

I was busy so I opened the book after a few days, hoping to find great people who know what evolution is and all the fields related to this subject but the moment I started reading the cover, it made me laugh at myself for not even noticing the front cover properly before that moment, but really this book was not a bad purchase, it was funny and sad at the same time because of the way these people died or harmed themselves.
This book is a collection of real people doing stuff that caused their own death. Remember this book is not a compilation of suicide gone perfect stories. Instead, it is just a sample of what the actual website has to offer, the author compiles, searches, and then posts the authentic stories on her website. These stories are just a few of the best self-elimination true stories from her website.
Don’t forget to read it in a place where you can laugh out loud without disturbing anyone because surely you are going to laugh like crazy while reading this book.

Not all stories are going to make you laugh because some may make you think of the people around these people and the people who they left behind and the dependants on these people. It can be very sad, horrific and even disgust can manifest your thoughts but it all depends on who you are and how you think.
A great fun read that you can finish in one sitting but you are going to feel sick if you do because of laughing too much. A hundred percent recommended read.

I bought this book just because I saw the image of a humanoid goat on the cover and I half expected it to be about a demonic person or the devil himself. But it is not about the devil or demons, instead, you are going to find many devils and demons related to humanity. This book is like a code of 700+ pages of tightly packed words and sentences, and you must un-code it by reading and understand what is actually happening and what the writer was saying because whatever you are reading is not what it means. There is a lot of stuff in this book that may offend many readers. Mr. Barth is profane, licentious, perverse, and blasphemous in this book while being insane and genius at the same time. I feel he purposefully used these as techniques to convey his ideas with maximum emotional impact. Lots of readers may be put off by the huge size of this book. But if you approach it with an open, learned mind and enough time and concentration, Giles Goat-Boy is an enjoyable, deeply satisfying, mind-opening read.
This book has two names and the second name is 'The Revised New Syllabus of George Giles our Grand Tutor'It was on 'The New York Times bestseller list in 1966 for 12 weeks.
John Barth saw his novel as "the first American postmodernist novel," One crazy story about this book is that it was written by a computer program WESCAC.
Giles Goat-Boy is one of Barth's most complex novels, a multi-layered narrative about the spiritual development of George Giles, goat boy. The book also functions as an allegory of the Cold War. Speaking in 2001, John Barth described the novel this way:
"It's a farcical allegory, sophomoric literally and figuratively. It’s about a universe that is a university, or a university that is a universe ... It goes on for too long, but among my objectives in writing the book was to have the chap, given his assignments here, attempt to solve them in a literal fashion, finds out he has to readdress them in a metaphorical fashion. Warning: I am a very open-minded person, but still, I feel this book has its fair share of parts that are not for young readers and may offend female readers too and in some cases, it can be racist due to the times in which this book was written, so I call it a book for adult and very open-minded readers.
This book is not like any other so the rating system must be different also. After thinking long and hard, I came up with three conclusions about this problem. I am rating it for three types of people so chose which one you are and then decide to buy the book. because this book can be a treasure to you and for some, it can be garbage. This book is a masterpiece and Mr. Barth is a genius, but to see that you need to understand what Mr. Barth did in this highly allegorized book and if you don't understand this concept then this book is just garbage for you, especially once you go beyond hundred or so pages. I have two copies of this book because I thought I am buying the second part due to the alternate covers, yes this book has nine covers at the time of writing this review.

At the start of this review, I want to ask all the readers to follow the simple rules from this book and apply them to your life for only a hundred days and see the positive effects on yourself and everything related to your habits. This book explains how our habits can change our life from good to worse and from worse to best. We can change our life around by adjusting just a few small habits.
The writer had an accident and it forced him to change his habits to fix his life and in this book, he is sharing his strategies with us. Don’t worry these are not just a few strategies from his time during the recovery; it is full of knowledge for the ones who really want to change their lives.
A few things that you can understand are the effect of being constant. Just keep yourself ready for the best results that come with staying on track. I can use one simple example and that is the feeling and confidence you gain after a few weeks of staying on a diet and training routine. People start asking you and telling you how good, fit, young and attractive you look and then you start getting even more focused on what you were doing and that is actually a reward that you never even thought about when you started doing it.
