🇮🇳 INDIA NEEDS CRYPTO REGULATION, NOT REGULATORY CONFUSION.
Buying USDT with INR, trading crypto against USDT, and converting USDT back into INR is not new. This has been happening in India for years.
USDT and USDC are dollar-pegged stablecoins issued by foreign companies. Naturally, cross-border transactions involving these assets raise questions around FEMA.
But here's the bigger question:
If this was a regulatory concern, why has there been no clear framework for years?
Why are users and businesses still operating in uncertainty?
And why hasn't India made a serious push to develop its own regulated INR-backed stablecoin, fully backed 1:1 by the rupee?
Let's be clear:
Simply using USDT does not automatically establish a FEMA violation.
What matters is the underlying transaction, where the money flows, who receives it, and how it is used.
The crypto industry needs transparency, accountability, and practical compliance standards.
Raids and uncertainty cannot replace a proper regulatory framework.
India has the opportunity to build a transparent digital asset ecosystem instead of pushing innovation into regulatory grey areas.
The message is simple: REGULATE CRYPTO. DON'T CREATE CONFUSION.
