⚡️ JUST OUT: Binance begins reopening withdrawals in phases today, starting between 06:00 and 09:00 UTC.
The first phase covers 15 assets and networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, Solana, XRP, TRX, ZEC, DOGE, TON, POL, AVAX, ARB, BASE, OP and SUI. Binance chose the order using the past week's user demand data, and each network returns only after security and stability checks. Heavy traffic may cause delays or failed withdrawals, and users are told to retry later. Deposits remain open.
Binance says it has now replenished about 95% of the roughly $6.3 billion impacted, up from 90% a day earlier. Ten major assets, including BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB and USDC, are fully backed, while the remaining 5% is lower-liquidity tokens it is still buying. The exchange says it will bear all losses, with none passed to users.
The investigation has moved forward too. The FBI said late Saturday it has determined North Korea was behind the theft, which Binance says involved a compromised employee laptop used to submit unauthorized withdrawals.
Binance has also promised a full zero-knowledge proof of reserves on Tuesday, and says it will restore its SAFU fund to about $1 billion.
Phase one is the test. After a week of frozen exits, the question is whether users withdraw in a rush or stay put.
