⚠️ AFX Trade just lost $24.15M in a bridge exploit, nearly wiping out its entire treasury in one shot.
Sounds like a smart contract failure.
But here's the twist: security firms confirmed the code did exactly what it was designed to do. The failure was compromised private validator keys, not a bug in the contract.
The attacker then immediately swapped the stolen USDC into 12,467 ETH, meaning some of today's ETH buying pressure is literally stolen money looking for a place to sit. This is also just one of three separate exploits draining $35M total across different protocols within hours of each other today.
