📖 Crypto glossary: Slippage
Slippage is the gap between the price you clicked and the price you actually got.
Example: you hit Market Buy at $1.00, but the order book is thin. Your order eats through the cheap asks and fills at an average of $1.03. That 3% is slippage.
When it bites hardest:
• Low-volume coins
• Big market orders
• Fast moves right after news
How to keep it small:
✅ Use limit orders when you're not in a rush
✅ Check order book depth before a big buy
✅ Split a large order into a few smaller ones
Ever paid way more than the price on screen? 👇
