ETH, $XRP and HYPE have all posted major moves as risk appetite returns to crypto.
And there’s a bigger macro story behind it:
🇺🇸 U.S. Treasury plans to increase long-term bond buybacks 📉 Dollar weakness is supporting risk assets 🏦 Institutional Bitcoin demand is returning 🔥 Short covering is accelerating the move
But don't call this “altseason” yet.
The real test is whether capital keeps flowing from BTC into high-beta altcoins after Bitcoin cools down.
If BTC consolidates instead of dumping…
that could be where things get VERY interesting. 👀
A major Bitcoin whale has been distributing into strength. Over the past three days one wallet sold approximately 7,700 $BTC (roughly $576 million), including a fresh 2,700 BTC sale. This same address has now deposited more than 12,500 BTC to Binance since mid-July. At the same time, short-term holder inflows to Binance hit their highest level since February — almost entirely from wallets holding BTC for less than a day. This is classic profit-taking after a sharp rally, not long-term holder distribution. Traders will be watching whether these exchange inflows continue or slow down near current levels.
$PUMP buybacks remain active and consistent. Pump.fun continues to route roughly 50% of protocol revenue into open-market buybacks and permanent burns. Recent daily buybacks have been running near the $900k–$1M range, adding to a cumulative total that has now removed a meaningful portion of circulating supply. This keeps a steady demand mechanism in place while platform activity stays elevated. Traders will be watching whether revenue and the corresponding buyback pace continue at these levels.
$TUT is one of the stronger mid-caps today. The token has moved higher with elevated volume, significantly outperforming the broader market. Trading activity has picked up meaningfully as capital rotates into higher-beta names. Traders will be watching whether the current volume holds and if the move can sustain into the next sessions.
$WLD liquidation map is showing a clear short cluster above price. Current price is around $0.40. Dense short liquidations sit just above this level, and cumulative short leverage rises steadily higher. Longs below remain more spread out. A continued push higher could force short covering and accelerate the move. Traders will be watching the reaction at the nearest short walls.
$SUI liquidation map is showing concentrated short pressure above current price. Price sits around $0.82. A dense cluster of short liquidations is stacked just above this level, with cumulative short leverage rising into the mid-to-high tens of millions. Long liquidations below are more distributed. This setup creates cascade potential if price continues higher, while a pullback would face less concentrated forced selling. Traders will be watching whether $SUI can clear the nearest short walls.
$PEPE has reached its highest level since May. The token continues to attract attention with elevated volume and noted on-chain whale activity. CryptoRank has also listed it among the stronger altcoin performers in the current move. Traders will be watching whether the whale interest continues to support the price or if profit-taking starts to appear at these levels.

$ENA is one of the stronger mid-caps today. Ethena has moved higher with elevated volume following reports of a new large-scale lending arrangement. The token continues to attract attention as one of the more active names in the current rotation. Traders will be watching whether the volume holds and if the recent strength can be sustained into the next sessions.
$ASTER Current price sits near $0.67. Short liquidation levels are visible above price, though the overall size is smaller than $WLD or $SUI. Still, the short side is more tightly packed than the long side. A clean break higher could trigger forced covering, while a pullback would face more scattered long liquidations.
$SUI Current price is around $0.75. Short liquidations are clearly concentrated above current levels, with cumulative short leverage climbing into the tens of millions. Longs below are more distributed across a wider range. This structure favors higher volatility on a break above the nearest short walls.
$WLD Current price sits around $0.37. A dense cluster of short liquidations is stacked just above this level. Cumulative short leverage rises steadily higher, meaning a continued push up could force short covering and accelerate the move. Long liquidations below price are more spread out, so downside pressure looks less concentrated right now.
🔥 Ontology (ONT/ONG) Moving Ahead of Major Upgrade
Ontology is heating up as its MainNet v3.1.2 hard fork** approaches on 21 August (00:00 UTC
The upgrade adds key Ethereum opcodes (PUSH0, BASEFEE, MCOPY, transient storage) — making contracts smaller, cheaper, and easier to port from Ethereum.
Quick reminder: • ONT = Governance + Staking • ONG = Gas token (used for fees)
Staking ONT earns ONG. Simple dual-token model.
With the upgrade just hours away and major exchanges already supporting it, attention is back on the pair.
Upgrade pump or the start of something bigger? What do you think? 👇
